Don’t we all have friends who are fanatical about skin care and don’t… really (whispers) have great skin? How can that be? It’s simple: the end product of a skin care regimen isn’t perfect skin, but the regimen itself — something that, in high American style, you have to steadily escalate over time, lest you stagnate. Don’t you want to improve?
Also for the anon interested in early game Solas POV, I've been trying to tackle that myself with Slow Arrow on AO3. I'm probably getting some things wrong in the long run, but otherwise I'm about 180k words in, and still ongoing. I'm really enjoying trying to capture how he viewed the world and its people before his opinion shifted, as well as how it shifted over time. Cheers. :)

a random fact: uuuhm last time I went to a gig the Scottish Justice Minister was there. my fav record label-type thing is 88rising (the 88 part isn’t what it sounds like btw, they’re a collective who mostly promote Asian American and Asian musicians. the founders are Asian American and the number in the name was chosen because it’s associated with things like good luck in Chinese culture. explaining to clarify). i’m like fourteen years [?] cancer free. this one time I pulled a prank online and it was kind of a thing and a few years later I discovered someone had written about it in a book. (i then bought the book l0l) oh and Felassan isnt dead.
