It’s been wayyy too long since I’ve posted a Danielle Jensen book so here is one of my favorites!! While I really liked Dark Shores, Dark Skies was such a wild ride and Lydia and Killian are my FAVS!!! Plus purple is my favorite color so hellllooooo gorgeous cover!!! I am dying over here for Gilded Serpent (book 3). If you haven’t checked out this series I HIGHLY recommend you do!!! Dark Shores is told in dual POV between Teriana and Marcus and Dark Skies is a companion novel that occurs at the same time but is told on dual POVs between Lydia and Killian!! Such a cool concept!!!! I hope everyone has enjoyed my rant to read Danielle’s books today!!! . . I love this series so much and am so happy to have this beautiful finished copy in my hands!! These covers just get more and more gorgeous!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend filled!! I finished Kingsbane and holy crap!! It was a slower read filled with TONS of information but still absolutely incredible!! Full review to come later. But now I get to finish this wonderful series!!! I am starting Mortal Heart and then get to read this very large and very beautiful book!! I was sadly in Australia when Robin came to visit but I ordered a signed copy of her book from Anderson’s and got these GORGEOUS characters cards as well!! While I love all the girls Sybella definitely has a special place in my heart!! If you haven’t read this series yet...oh man WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!? What better way to represent women than to post one of my new favorite series about assassin nuns...and dagger, of course!! I have fallen in love with the His Fair Assassins series and I am so excited to finish it and start this beautifully dark book!! I love everything that these books represent: strong independent women, friendship, courage and even love...can’t forget the whole BAMF assassin part either!! Plus @rllafevers is an amazing author and woman!! Not only does she write these incredible books but also shares her writing knowledge with all of us from the goodness of her heart!! Do you have a favorite setting to read? Does it change with genres? ☃️ I have to admit I’m becoming very fond of reading curled up on a pile of pillows and blankets in front of a fire. And after the storms we’ve had, for some reason I’m in the mood for horror. What is it about isolating woods, with the wind howling through the trees, that just feels oh so right for diving into a book full of scares? Remind me that I did this to myself if I can’t sleep later mkaythanks ☃️ Also, can we take a moment for some creepy cover vibes?! A doctor obsessed with ending pain.
