putricia on film 💅
already had a trip into Sydney planned and got to see Putricia in person.
hopefully she blooms tomorrow, so I still have a chance to see her again before I leave.
Our Lady of Stank, Putricia, First of Her Name: The Bloomening has happened! Four and a half hours on public transport, an hour and a half in line, about 2.5km walking, and maybe two minutes in Her Presence.
Worth it 😎
Would describe the smell as more mildew than corpse? Like the overriding smell, to me, was mildew and dank instead of rot and decay. Which was definitely there, just not as prominent. Basically, think month-old dirty laundry with a dead rat at the bottom of the basket.
Have spent the most delightful evening in the discord and on the livestream since getting home. Got to watch pollination! Science! Conservation! Happening! Right there! :D So friggin' cool.
x
How to explain that for the past week I have been obsessed with the livestream of a corpse flower named Putricia.
so I went back and queued for an hour and a half to see her in her full glory
she’s apparently lost some of her smell from last night but there’s a definite hint of wet socks
More people need to meet our lord and saviour Putricia the Corpse Flower.
