Don't tell me you're not the same person.
i’ve seen alot of people saying that muzan didn’t think anything could kill him. n i’m kind of biased since i’m chronically ill and i write muzan even though i hate him but like. muzan was sick as a human. he still has his memories from being sick and ill, and to me the entire point of him even looking for the flower was to be able to live a normal life without being sick and to avoid the sun killing him just for stepping outside.
he even hates being called sickly.
muzan knows that there are things that can kill him out there, even seeing tanjiros earrings brought back “bad memories” from him getting his ass kicked

“It does too count!” There wasn’t nearly as much heat behind her words as she’d intended; she sounded far more fond than she did exasperated. “My excuse?” Her face heated, nose scrunching up despite her grin, “My excuse is that someone here is a terrible role model--!”
Eventually, he does test his blood.
Initially, his plan is to drop some onto an array and observe the reaction - but out of fear of it going out of control by accident, Edward instead opts to simply bleed a bit onto a counter in the bathroom.
Keeping the cut open long enough for it to do anything is... more of a hassle than he'd like, and hurts a lot more than he thought it would have, but doesn't take long - and to his relief, nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.
Red Water, to his memory, tends to congeal oddly. Even without pressure or stimulus, it has a habit of thickening into a stonelike state if left in the open air for any length of time. Blood, however, is more or less a liquid, and stays that way until it dries - unless you freeze it, and why would you ever do that?
Even then, he waits a moment before giving it a poke with the tip of a knife, and - yup. Liquid. Nothing seems off about it.
Edward breathes a sigh of relief, and cleans it up.
And hopes beyond hope that Envy doesn't catch on to what's really wrong with him.
@signetied gets a thing !
"don't give me that look."
the look on her face isn't quite a pout (no, that simply wouldn't do), but it's on its way there. she sounds something like fond, if nothing else — it's step above the sharp tone reserved for strangers who won't leave her alone. that's something, right? sure, that something is more a sign that she's learning not to direct her ire at everyone when she gets overstimulated, but... that isn't the point.
vic taps the ash from the end of her cigarette, tips her head to look up, up, up at him. god, she always forgets how tall he is.
"you look like someone's disappointed mother."
From the character questions: How are they like when they cry? does their nose get clogged to the point that it’s hard to breathe? do they hiccup when they cry? do they try to stay quiet? are they a loud cryer or a silent cryer?
character questions | CURRENTLY ACCEPTING!!
riddle is a messy crier, but at the very least, he's a quiet one. he used to be a lot louder when he was younger, but, well, you know what they say about age, practice, and wisdom. while riddle's never quite managed to reach complete silence or even a somewhat seemly appearance while crying, he's gotten better at crying quietly, if he cries at all.
the queen's laws do, after all, demand that one holds themself with complete and total decorum at all times.
