We went for a drive up the recently re-opened Putty Road today. It was closed for a couple of months and you can see why. There is so much devistation but some really encouraging signs of growth. The Australian bush is amazingly resilient. We had lunch at a cafe that remained open to feed the fireies even while the road was closed to the public.
