Otherworld: Spring of shadows Ep 5 

Jamming through two different worlds in this episode. 

Coming off the kelpie cut-scene to resurface in a quiet and classical European town square is a bit disorienting.

Picking locks is hard.

Our ever useful knife, it has finally failed us, the pen is mightier than the ‘sword’.

Playing more Otherworld: Omens of Summer!

Our breakneck pace slows down a bit as we encounter some puzzles that are actually a bit challenging. . . and forget how to ring a doorbell.

Lies finally dragged Scandal into the wild world of puzzle novel games and it was an excellent decision.

We dug into Otherworld (accidentally starting on game two in a four part series) and proceeded to smash our way through logic puzzles, oohing and aahing at the lovely illustration, laughing at the absurdity of dragging a small children through a window repeatedly, admiring the edgelord villain monster, and chasing an overly large crow down a trail of mystifying clues.

ESCAPE (Asylum Jam, October 2013)

Last year's Asylum Jam (a game jam devoted to making horror games that don't depict asylums and/or medical conditions as a horror element) I collaborated with two fine men on a very short puzzle novel called ESCAPE.

Originally envisioned to be a full on Myst-like, it ended up a fairly limited visual novel due to the constraints of time. With Halloween almost upon us, I figured I would share it again. The game only takes 10 minutes to clear at the very longest, but maybe it'll be 10 minutes you like.
