They probably made a sep blog so that they wouldnt get hate mail and get attacked. Tumblr tends to get extreme with ganging up on blogs with harassment. Tbh i read the posts too and theyre not criticizing, rather pointing out things theyve noticed.
And yet Alex and everyone else who rebuts them doesn’t have that privilege. So it’s either don’t respond to their comments at all so you dont run the risk of getting hate or letting them say whatever without any risk of backlash. This isn’t to defend tumblr’s unhealthy ways of handling controversial opinions, but I can’t get the sour taste out of my mouth.
.... And that’s different from criticism? Putting comments about Alex’s art from the post aside, this person still made a number of rude assumptions over Alex’s mental health publicly. If they really cared to know why Alex draws in the manner they do or why they feel uncomfortable talking about the subject then they’d address it in private rather than trying to publicly prove some point they don’t even know shit on.
