Horror Movie Marathon at Port WHitley’s Public High School

Annalise had been a scary movie fanatic since she was a child. I guess having older siblings and absentee parents would do that to a girl. So when she heard that the High School had a week long marathon going on of some of the classics she was more than happy to mark each day off on her calendar. She didn’t even care if no one wanted to attend the movies with her, she wasn’t afraid to go alone. 

That’s what she was currently doing now. A blanket spread out on the football field for her to sit on while another one covered her body from the slightly chilly fall air, her drink sat beside her as she shoveled a handful of popcorn into her mouth, the first movie of the night starting up, revealing that they would be watching IT, the newest release. She glanced up when she heard someone speak in a hushed whisper “Is this spot taken?” She quickly shook her head, moving her stuff over as she swallowed down her popcorn “No no go ahead... just in time you almost missed the opening!”

Should Esmeray really be adding more onto her plate at the moment? The answer to that was undoubtedly no, however painting was something that she loved dearly, something that she had put on the back burner for a while now while she was working on getting the restaurant in a better spot. So when she had seen the advertisement for local businesses to participate in the October festivities she had been quick to volunteer a day or two of her time to teach a painting class or two. However she was smart enough to realize that she couldn’t handle the work load all on her own so she had put out an advertisement for a helper. Someone who was capable of running around to gather supplies and sit in on the larger classes to ensure that everyone was tended to in the manner that they deserved. That’s where she met Sanem Arslan. The women had been quick to apply without any fuss over the near to nothing pay. 

Currently Esmeray sat, stroking her brush against a nearly empty canvas as she glanced over the trees in the distance. She had been slacking and needed an example painting for the class that would be there within the hour. She smiled when she saw Sanem approaching, a stack of canvases in her arms “You’re an actual life saver are you aware?” She questioned with a smile ghosting her lips.
