It was 8:00 a.m., and you and Kinich were not working that day. The clock ticks—the only sound in the room as you both sleep soundly in your shared bed. The warm morning sun shines through the white curtains and onto you.

The window was partially open, allowing air to enter. If only time had stopped at this very moment, you would cherish every last bit of it. Unfortunately, though, you had to wake up because of how bright the sun was gradually getting. Your eyes can't adjust the brightness, so you turn yourself around only to meet your sleeping boyfriend through your blurry vision. You close your eyes for a few seconds to let the light adjust, then open them again so you can see Kinich clearly. His hair was always messed up when he slept. It was adorable.

You smiled, slowly reaching towards his face to remove a piece of stranded hair that was in the way. However, this has caused him to shift his movement for a second; he is a light sleeper, so any movement or sound will wake him up.

“Oh,” you whispered. taken aback by his sudden wake. “Sorry... I didn't know you were awake.” You lowered your hand and brought it back to yourself. “No, it's okay. I had already woken up. Good morning.” His voice was hoarse and slurred, and his sleepy eyes fixed on you.

You smile back, letting his calloused hand take yours. "How long have you been awake?” You questioned, brushing his knuckles with your thumb as you awaited his answer. “Roughly 10 minutes ago, it's a nice day today.. should we go somewhere later?”

“I would love to; is Ajaw coming along?”

“I’ve had him locked up for some time; I don't want him to come out... just not yet at least.” His gaze left yours as he stared somewhere else. “I want to spend some alone time with you without interruptions.”

His awkwardness made you laugh, and his dynamic with Ajaw was always entertaining to watch. Though his reasonings are valid, deep down inside you wanted this (no offense, Ajaw).

“Mm, I don't want to get up just yet. Can we stay for a few hours? It's too early.” You groaned, drawing the soft blankets to cover your head as Kinich watched. “Sure, we do not have to rush. Let us enjoy our off day.” He also moves close to you as you peek your head out of your blanket. He gives you a small peck on the forehead as sleepiness seems to weigh both of you down.

note: hi! im running out of ideas! however this might break into two parts because im exhausted tonight ☹️ this is my first attempt at making a smau and this is not proofread! xx not my proudest work.

“How could this possibly happen? So frustrating.”

So, you did not expect this tonight. You have locked yourself out of your house while checking your mailbox for a package you ordered. You let out a heavy, angry sigh as you walked up and down the small steps of your stairs, trying to figure out what to do or how to get back inside. You had just gotten off work a few hours ago, and you were already exhausted, so why would tonight want to add to your stress? In addition, you had morning classes! You’ll need your stuff way before then, right? You mumbled to yourself and stopped your back-and-forth pacing, taking out your phone to see what the weather is like tonight. In about twenty to thirty minutes, it was predicted to rain. Glancing up at your house, you realize that it is too high and dangerous to reach the closest window—let alone run the chance of someone seeing you and thinking you are breaking in (into your own home).

However,

Metaphorically, a lightbulb appeared above your head, and your thumbs quickly switched from the weather app to your messages, praying that this is the right time to ask your boyfriend if you could stay over for the night before worrying about the lockout situation tomorrow.

You smiled, slipping your phone into your pocket as you sat on the stairwell step, palms up. The sky was already pitch black, with street lights illuminating the roads and houses. All you could hear were crickets and passing cars. You wondered what would have happened if you had not come out tonight and stayed in your room doing whatever you were doing. Bad timing really gets to you; however, you had your sweater with you, so you were at least warm for the next few minutes until Scaramouche arrived. Perhaps the universe was somewhat pleasant.

When you see a familiar car approaching your garage, you snap out of your thoughts. Standing up, you paced your way towards the passenger seat in his car. You attempted to open the vehicle door, but it was locked. You stare, perplexed, as the car window slowly rolls down. You meet your boyfriend's gaze as he gives a smug expression.

"This is how you get kidnapped. Not thinking twice before getting into the right person's car.” He says as you scoffed, pulling the car handle again, hoping it would open, but it remained locked. "And I did not ask for one of your survival tips. Now, let me in.” Scaramouche finally listened, and you could see him pressing a button as a loud click echoed throughout the car. You pulled on the handle, and to your surprise, it finally opened. You get into the car and close the door as you put on your seatbelt. The warmth and smell of the car have always made you happy, but you are too annoyed tonight to think about it. Though, you noticed your boyfriend only came out in a sweater and sweatpants. You can tell he rushed out the door, not giving a damn what he was wearing.

"How did this happen?" Scaramouche breaks the silence, making you look at his face. He locks the doors and begins pulling off to the streets. “You getting locked out of your house, I mean. How could you be so careless?" You could only sit back and look out the window as small raindrops began to hit the windows. "Well, I already had a long day today, so I guess I got hit with a lot of BS. Anyway, I just wanted to check my mail." Scaramouche hummed as he turned on the wipers, the rain pouring down. "I expected a package, so I thought it arrived, you know?"

"But the only thing that came was more trouble, correct?" Scaramouche adds, He did not take his eyes off the road, but you could tell he was listening. He was always an excellent listener, which you adored because few people are willing to sit and listen. "But you became my savior! I did not expect you to be awake at this hour. Thank you for coming all the way here to pick me up." Despite the strong seatbelt that held you down, you smiled and leaned in to kiss his cheek.

"Whatever...be careful next time because I will not do this again." You noticed he lied, and you are confident he would not say that (to you).

◞ㅤKaedehara Kazuha is a man whose words are laced with poetry and gentleness. Everything about him is what drew you to him. His mannerisms, the way he talks about his interests, everything. He’s also a shoulder to lean on whenever you feel down, always there to listen.

Now, here you are, outside in the cool late summer evening, sitting by a tree where you and Kazuha would always hang out. The sage green and yellow leaves rustled through the chill, crisp air. It was perfect scenery. However, today was just not on your side. You can’t focus; you’re too stressed; you don’t know what to do.

However, perhaps the day decided it was enough because he sensed that you were going through a difficult moment. He approaches you and sits down, gently pulling you into his arms and giving you a firm embrace. His scent fills your nose as it contains the sea and earth. It's a comfortable silence between the two of you, and it's okay; sitting in silence under each other's presence is also okay.

He will always remind you that everything will be alright and that you are not alone if you find yourself lost in a dark place of your thoughts or if you have a difficult time functioning. Everyone has their hiccups, but at the end of the day, you got through it, and he’ll always be proud of you for making it that far.

Once you feel better, you tell him about your problems; he knows what to say in his unique language of comfort, even if the situation is complicated. He’ll always make time for you, even if his hands are full with other tasks. You mean a lot to him, and he means a lot to you, so it’s a win-win.

You adore him for that, though. It's almost as if fate has brought you two together, no matter the circumstances.

note: it's albedo's birthday! ngl this was perfect timing because I was already planning on posting around his birthday, but so sorry if this was rushed! i used a fluff prompt for this.

◞ㅤGiven his immortality, Albedo was created from chalk by one of the Hexenzirkel members. As for you, a mortal, you had no objections to dating someone who would outlive you; however, a nagging thought kept bothering you.

What if it was possible to become immortal?

Every time that thought appeared, you’d ignore it. But unfortunately, it was a good question. You wanted to stay with Albedo forever, right? You sighed and let go of the pen you’ve been holding for hours. Grandmaster Jean assigned you papers to complete, but you were unable to focus. Your gaze shifted to the window as you sat back in your chair. The sun was setting, creating a blue and orange sky. It was pretty, gorgeous even. It reminded you of the exact day you had confessed your love to Albedo. The snowy mountain you could see from afar was also where you and him officially got into a relationship. It felt like just yesterday.

The sudden sound of the door opening jolted you out of your seat, your gaze drawn to the door, but a wave of relief washed over you as you saw your boyfriend. Albedo entered the office you shared while you were lost in thought. You smiled and greeted Albedo; he was wearing his labcoat and goggles, as it seems like he was busy doing alchemy work again.

“I didn’t expect to see you still sitting in that chair. Done with work yet?” Albedo inquires as he removes his labcoat and folds it up to place in a bag. He throws away the gloves and removes his goggles. You, on the other hand, were staring at a random place, and Albedo could tell something was troubling you after it took you a moment to answer him.

“No, I couldn’t exactly focus.” You fidgeted with your hands underneath the table. How will you initiate the immortal/mortal conversation with Albedo? “Oh? Is…everything okay? Need some fresh air? A walk, perhaps?” He approaches the table you were sitting at; worry filled him as you were okay before he left. Could it be stress, perhaps? You took a deep breath to gather your final thoughts, then shot him the question.

“Is it possible to become immortal?”

The room fell silent for a split second; Albedo blinked a few times. He heard you correctly; just what made you think that? Though Albedo kept his calm demeanor and smiled a bit. “I figured this conversation would come someday,” he breathed out. He took your hand from across the table, then brings you over around and takes you to the nearby couch to sit you and himself down.

“I’m afraid I don’t exactly know the answer. Maybe there is a way, but it is impossible to get there." You could only avoid his gaze; you were embarrassed to even think or say that when you already knew the answer. "Are you asking me just to get closure on that question?" Albedo goes on. You slumped into your shoulders because you did not respond. "Look at me while I am speaking to you, dear." His voice was so gentle it hypnotized you. When you turned to look at him, he was smiling. You felt his cold thumb brush against the back of your hand. He could sense your distress, and he wants to be there for you at times like this. “I’m sorry for asking; I know it’s a ridiculous question.” You muttered.

"It's okay to ask questions; it is okay to question things even if you already know the answer but are too afraid to confirm it." He raised your hand to give it a small kiss. His eyes never left yours, and your cheeks felt warm. It was your favorite place to be kissed.

"Dearest, let us cherish our moments together. Don’t worry about the future; we live in the present for a reason, no?” He laughs a bit. You could only nod as you let go of his hand and lowered your head into his lap. "Okay, do you think we would find each other in every universe?" Your hand reaches for Albedo's snow blonde hair, running your fingers through it. The sunlight is shadowed by his figure; he looked like an angel ascending down from the heavens.

"Yes, and I hope to find you in each of our rebirths."

after scaramouche picked you up from getting drenched in the rain due to you getting locked out of your own home, you slowly had began to calm yourself after a crazy night.

cw; fluff, scaramouche and reader playfully biting their heads off (not literally), slight ooc scaramouche, but we get soft scara in this.

note: hii!! sorry so sorry for not posting! things happened and it was quite a bumpy road, but everything's okay now ♡︎♡︎ this was also a bit rushed.. it's very late over here.

The car ride was silent for a bit, you being on your phone as the screen was the only light source in the dark car. The car's engine and the rain pouring were the only sounds other than yours and Scaramouche's silence. Your thumbs were typing on the keyboard at an alarming rate, and Scaramouche was curious about what was happening on your end.

"You have to find something on your phone so entertaining that it is nearly causing you to lose your fingers." Scaramouche breaks the silence, eyes glancing over you and the road ahead. “Well, my group chat is a bit concerning tonight. That’s all!” You finished what you were typing and hit send before shutting your phone off. That only left Scaramouche his usual scoff. “Has it not been an everyday thing?” He mutters to himself, but you heard it.

“Hey, I heard that.” You announced, reaching over to poke his cheek with your index finger, but that only resulted in Scaramouche moving away from you poking him. “Poke me, and I'll swerve this car and we'll have to deal with each other in the afterlife.” You were baffled, but you listened and moved back to your seat. “At least you're positive we'd find each other in our next life~” You teased, letting out a laugh.

…

You two finally make it to his house, and as you get out of the car, you hurry over to the house as Scaramouche takes his precious time to head over to the door. “I don’t see the reason why you’re taking your sweet time; you’re getting wet.” Your eyes followed Scaramouche as he made it up the stairs, fishing for his keys now. “It’s just rain; it won’t kill me. Plus, I have a sweater on.” He inserts the key into the keyhole to unlock the door, then opens it. He moves out of the way for you to enter first, and you make your way inside as the warmth of his home greets you. “Get yourself comfortable, like you always do when you come here." He hooked his keys to the wall that was holding his other belongings, took off his shoes, and placed them on the mat by the door, and you did the same.

“Yeah, yeah, I know. And as thanks for picking me up tonight, we’re going to have a sleepover in your bedroom!” You smiled as you ran towards his bedroom. “Hold on, your clothes are filt-ugh.” Scaramouche rolls his eyes as he begrudgingly walks to his now possibly wet bedroom. He took off his hoodie and placed it in his laundry basket, which just so happened to be right where he needed it. Wherever you’re sitting in his room needs to be cleaned as well. Great. But at least today marks one of the best memories Scaramouche wouldn’t forget.
