❛     madam pomfrey, i’m fine —     ❜ but try as remus might, his words aren’t particularly convincing. puts that down to the lack of conviction with which he spoke them ( hasn’t seen himself in the mirror yet ; that would shatter all pretence of being fine, even if his words weren’t overlaid with the thick, syrupy sound of exhaustion ). it’s barely sun up, & remus’ body aches ( a feeling to which he has become well accustomed ), & there’s a part of him that chides him for protesting ; that wonders why on earth anyone in his situation would eschew help & relief ( gryffindor hardheadedness, he thinks wearily ), & it’s that part of him that almost makes him turn right around & leave the hospital wing. … the other marauders would just frogmarch him straight back, though. of that, he is sure. so it’s with a sigh of resignation that remus lupin, weary-boned, enters hogwarts’ hospital wing & clambers into the bed. he’s always called it his bed – it’s the one he’s used almost every month since he started at hogwarts ( sometimes twice a month! ) 

❛     i just need to sleep,     ❜ he tells her, & it’s time like these that prove the sorting hat was right to place him in the lionhearted house ( irksomely stubborn & foolishly reckless at the best of times, those gryffindors ). ❛     it wasn’t that bad.     ❜ his face says differently, but this is a dance they play every morning after a full moon. comforting, really. // ☽ ┆━ ❪ meme ⇢ accepting! ❫

just a random shout out for three harry potter blogs i’m not currently threading with   ( yet!! )  but i have to say, that they are each so talented and enjoyable to have on my dash that they are gems of the harry potter rp community, and p much necessities for your dash if you want to see some of the best of what the fandom has to offer. they each portray their characters with such dedication and accuracy, that it’ really lovely to see and made me want to scream bc i was on hiatus for most of it but now i’m back and i just wanted to say that pxmfrey​,  durmstranged​ and bloodtraiitor​ are like?? three of my fave hp blogs and you should definitely follow them!!
