Sai hadn’t been sleeping well after the encounter with the ghosts while rescuing the General and honestly, it infuriated her. She felt weak because while she endured mental violation and the rising of memories she had tucked away never to be seen again; she didn’t actually endure any physical trauma. She felt like she had just been useless. Just a body in the way. Even now she couldn’t shake being rattled by the night terrors and constant reminders of things she wanted to forget and nothing pissed her off more than that.
She walked along the pathway leading to the Royal Exchange and ignored every passerby, just stuck in her own self-loathing. She couldn’t focus on anything else but her anger and exhaustion and as ironic as it may be; it was exhausting. She had finally had enough. She made her way towards the hospital to see if she could be of some use.
It didn’t surprise her that the hospital wasn’t empty, for it had seemed that Vye had finally risen from his coma and Asonna was there making sure he didn’t get up yet. Saidora walked in quietly and leaned against the wall only to observe for a time, but she was quickly noticed.
“What the fuck happened to you?” Asonna asked as she studied the magi.
Sai’s first instinct was to scowl at her weakness being noticed right off the bat, but she forced a smile. “Just haven’t been sleeping well after the ghost encounter, is all.”
“Seems like nobody’s getting the rest they need.” Asonna peered back at Vye who had grumbled something earlier but in her exhausted state, Sai didn’t catch what it was.
“Would you like a sedative?” The question was directed to Sai and she was more than happy to say yes.
“That would be delightful.” Finally! She’d be able to sleep at least for a few hours. That is all she would need.
“Which arm would you like it in?” Asonna brought out a syringe and a bottle of liquid; obviously the sedative she were speaking of.
Saidora walked up towards the huntress and stuck out her arms, “Either one is fine.”
“Hmm, alright. I just need to know your weight so I can give you the proper dosage.”
Ugh, her weight? The was a gentleman there and she was asked her weight? She spent a split second groaning internally before answering, “I weigh one hundred twenty.”
Asonna began calculating the amount required and finally injected the sweet, sleep-inducing formula. “See you tomorrow, you’ll have pleasant dreams tonight,” she smiled.
Sai grinned tiredly, “I owe you.”
She made her way to the couch behind Vye’s and listened to the two chat a bit longer before dozing off completely; those night terrors were not present that evening.
