I did leave with brie and a whole roast chicken so things aren't completely dire, I'm just amazed at my own capability to forget something as central as the pasta required to make pasta...

I just feel so frustrated for you, I’ve come across this in someone at work that I would really, really like to like. But I just can’t - he’s older than me though so a bit different.

I figure I can at least send him some non-Reddit links to actual sources, and give him the strong hint that he should find some things out for himself rather than just discussing what other people think and - as he attempted to - claim that they weren't his opinions, but just what they had said!

so yeah. I just need to remind him, calmly, that if you parrot things you hear you are implicitly stating you agree with those things
