𝔼arly in the morning, the sunlight barely shining through the curtains of Phoenix’s room, birds faintly chirping outside on tree branches already having woke up for the day. Merrick rolled over onto his side and gently placed his hand on Phoenix’s waist before leaning over to her and placing a peck on her cheek. “Good morning.”

nightmare starters
Merrick blinked a few times, trying to clear his vision after just waking up in a fright. Half of his mind was still convinced that he was still asleep, the dream was so vivid. But hearing Phoenix’s voice was enough to keep him grounded. “P-Phoenix...” He shook his head lightly. “I could have sworn it was real. It just...seemed very real.”
Baby, it’s cold outside.
@pyrotechxnic Outside, fat snowflakes feel from the sky. Landing on branches, the house and just about anything else that they could find. Heavy wings hit the east side of the house, causing a howl throughout the building that would continuously come and go. Overall except for the howls of the wind, the house was quiet. Ivan, James and Sal were out in town. Leaving Merrick and Nix by themselves. It had been an idea in his mind for quite some time, just a nice relaxing afternoon in front of the fireplace in the living room. Pillows, blankets, and hot chocolate. It didn’t take him long to have the blankets and pillows in the living room. And once he had finished he moved to the kitchen to start on the hot chocolate. He walked over tone of the cupboards and got out a couple of mugs, hot chocolate mix, and kettle. After putting water into the kettle he set it on the propane stove and turned on one of the burners before making his way back to the counter. He got out a spoon from one of the drawers and pt a couple spoonfuls of mix into the mugs. Not before too long the water was ready and he circled back around to grab the kettle and add he water into the mugs. Once mixed, he stirred the hot chocolate until it was drinkable. Merrick cleaned up the kitchen and grabbed both mugs before heading back towards the living room. “Phoenix!” He called out into the house as he set down the mugs on a table beside one of the couches.
