"kaeya alberich, i swear to barbatos! for the last time, i'm not going to do your paperwork. stop trying to push your work onto me because you're too lazy!" you scold, hands on your hips as you face the blue-haired cavalry captain. "c'mon y/n, pleaseeeee?" he clasps his hands together and pleads with you, jutting out his bottom lip. "no. why do you even need me to do it?!" you ask in a mildly infuriated tone while trying to hide your smile. you're used to kaeya's antics by now, and they never fail to put a smile on your lips from how nonsensical his excuses normally are. "because... i'm too pretty! don't you agree, y/n?" kaeya flips his ponytail over his shoulder, doing a dramatic peace sign. you stare at him with an unimpressed expression, prompting him to deflate slightly before you reply, "what would master jean say about this?" "what would i say about what?" a clear voice rings out in the corridor, and you turn to see who it is, only to be met with the acting grandmaster strolling towards you two.
"absolutely nothing, master jean. in fact, i was encouraging dear y/n here to return to her work," kaeya smoothly says, interrupting the sentence you were about to begin as you shoot him an offended glare. jean moves to stand behind you and states in a strict tone, "kaeya, i don't see you working either. please get back to it, i'll deal with y/n." kaeya stares at you apologetically, muttering under his breath about how he'll buy you lunch to make up, and speedily heading back to his office with his tail between his legs. he wasn't particularly intimidated by jean, but he did not want even more work to get piled upon him if she found out he was slacking off.
"y/n, a word, please," jean gestures to her office and invites you in. as soon as the door shuts behind you and you both hear the lock click, your girlfriend exhales a sigh of relief before pulling you into a warm hug. "i missed you," she whispers softly into your ear while leaning her head on your shoulder. you pet her blonde hair, appreciating the affection she's showing you, "i missed you too, jean. but i have to admit, i am surprised." she raises an eyebrow, "why?" "you're not usually this clingy at work. not that i mind! but it is a contrast from the norm."
"oh, i get it," jean blushes, twiddling her fingers nervously, "for a second there i was worried you were upset." "i could never be upset with such a cute girlfriend!" you grin, threading your fingers through her hair. "y/n..." she hides her face in your shoulder again, too shy to say anything else. a second later, she speaks up, "i suppose it was because of kaeya. it's just his personality, i know, but still... he was so close to you!" jean pouts and folds her arms across her chest, looking for all the world like a petulant child. you burst into laughter, unable to reply from how much you're giggling.
"jean, you amaze me every day with how adorable you can be," the compliment drips from your lips like honey, and the surprised squeal jean lets out the next moment makes it worth it. "but either way, i love you, and you only!" you beam, kissing the top of her head. "you really mean that?" your girlfriend asks anxiously, searching your expression for any hint of humour or jest. "yup!" you gently slip your fingers between jean's and smile, "you're my dandelion knight in shining armour."

diona absolutely adores this song, though she will never admit it for the life of her. what, you think that just because she's a cat she would enjoy a song that has the word 'nya' in it?! and diona's not just a cat, she's got kätzslein blood running through her veins, so you better respect her. diona heard you playing this song one day when you were visiting margaret to once again return her lost kitten, and the catchy tune was stuck in her head all day. in fact, when you strolled into the cat's tail to buy a refreshing non-alcoholic drink, you heard her humming it and doing the famous dance while she was cleaning up her tools for destroying the wine industry (a cold drink canteen and some ingredients). after realising you had seen her, diona let out an extremely loud 'nyani?!' and ran into the backroom. according to margaret, she did not leave until margaret had triple-confirmed that you had left, and diona had also asked to pass along a message that she definitely did not like the song, and to please not mention what you saw to anyone else.

eula can't help how unintentionally dramatic she is, it runs in her blood as a member of the aristocratic lawrence clan. so although she does listen to this song and plot how to achieve vengeance against all those who have wronged her, you know that she doesn't mean it, and that mondstadt is one of the closest things to her heart besides you. you often tease her that she could easily shut you up with a kiss, to which she blushes furiously while pulling you into a hug and vowing that she'll take vengeance against you for flustering her. when you jokingly promise that you'll help her burn mondstadt if she wants, eula's at a loss for words, and quickly says that she doesn't want you anywhere near fire, in case you end up getting injured before she can exact her revenge. you just laugh in reply, for you love eula, especially since her empty threats are so adorable, and are usually a way for her to show she cares if you read between the lines.

fischl is the prinzessin der verurteilung, someone who hails from another world and is above all these mere mortals with her royal blood. yet somehow, she still finds herself falling for you as the days go by and you go along with her roleplaying, accept her outlandish theories, and adventure with her across mondstadt. so it's this song that she holes herself up in her room and listens to, feeling that she and the main character of the song can relate to each other. oz is rather concerned for his fräulein, and one day, he recommends this song to you, claiming it's fischl's favourite. when you listen to it while travelling with fischl, and your eyes light up as you tell her that you're always there to love the princess if she'd have you. although fischl maintains her appearance as the distant prinzessin, she can't deny how much faster her heart started beating when you leaped into her arms, and she thinks that she can have a happy ending, just like the girl in the song.

jean gunnhildr, acting grand master of the knights of favonius already has enough on her plate, and falling in love was nowhere on her to-do list. but then you stumble into her life, and suddenly your face is what pops into her mind when she listens to this song while working late nights at hq. the dandelion knight has always loved this song, ever since she was a child, if only for its mentions of dandelions and delightful portrayal of love which she dreamed of experiencing, yet now it takes on a different meaning with the fondness for you blossoming in her heart. jean doesn't know how to express this to you, whether it's even appropriate for the acting grand master to have feelings for an honorary knight, but she's trying her best to figure it out. the day jean invites you to windrise and blows on a dandelion in front of you, wishing out loud that you would date her and you eagerly accepting is one she will remember forever as one of the happiest days of her life.

kaeya's one of the sketchiest people in mondstadt, and everyone knows it, never staying with him for more than a single night, even if he is the top candidate for grandson-in-law amongst the elderly. he's never been properly in love before - his only experience with the perplexing feeling is that of fleeting flings and flirty remarks. he supposes it's for the best anyway, with his khaenriah background constant internal conflict of whether to choose the city that housed him or the city that birthed him. yet with you, kaeya finds genuine compliments slipping from his lips more often than not. he's no fool either, he sees how you react to it, he can tell you're falling for him, and he feels the same way. but he doesn't want to hurt you, he can't get close to you and then stab you in the back, shattering your relationship forever, the identical thing he did to diluc. he never wants to repeat that mistake, which cost him one of his greatest friendships, and so kaeya distances himself from you, or well, he tries to. but one day he realises how much of an idiot he's being, wasting time he could be spending with you, the love of his life, and so kaeya rushes out of the knights hq, leaving behind a huge pile of paperwork (much to jean's chagrin) and heads straight to your house. with a completely offkey yet genuine voice, kaeya alberich, cavalry captain of mondstadt, belts this song outside your house, yelling out the lyrics as loud as he can, pausing only to emphasise the line 'i'll know peace when i'm your lover boy.' you end up opening your door and pulling kaeya in for a kiss on the threshold, but even after you start dating, you never stop teasing him about how bold and romantic it was for him to sing a love song as his confession.
