ohhh eggos. huevos. ovos. what a fucking journey its been, that's for sure. from the first day we met you, you won our hearts over. silly little admins playing silly little children eggs that caused just as much mischief as their parents (nearly). let's not forget that philza nearly got dapper instead of chayanne, that would have been a completely different outcome, for sure.

it's really sad that people like cellbit and felps never got to say goodbye to richas. or that missa never got to say goodbye to chay and llulah. or that roier and mariana never got to see pepito again. and it's really fucking sad that this all happened after we (aka me) thought everything was getting better. oh how wrong I was.

though, I am glad that the admins got to leave on their own accord. that they said, hey, this has been great but its time to leave. and while it is sad, let's be happy for them as look forward to the future of qsmp (I say with tears streaming from my eyes lmao)

in honour of the egg event ending, here's a couple of my favourite moments. (most of these will be chay and tallulah since I main phil):

chayanne and missa getting robbed and held at gunpoint by ratackity

every time cellbit gave lullah a flower when they greeted each other (underrated duo for sure, there's so much behind them)

just in general, those times cellbit took care of lullah and chayanne when phil was away

philza seeing code!chay and code!llulah and immediately knowing it wasn't actually them (we love a good father)

phil officially adopting lullah (both times)

slimecicle meeting sunny for the first time and somehow still managing to misclick

misclickduo and juanaflippa in general

all of the dead eggs actually, juana, trump, tilin and bobby chingon!!

bagi screaming at the purgatory!worker when em lost a life during the post-purgatory fights with morning crew

niki and chayanne speaking german together!

every single death family moment, no matter the context, they really were the perfect family, and I will miss them with everything I have

it's very late for me now, so I'm going to end this here, but I don't think this is the end of qsmp. I don't think this is the end of the ccs shenanigans, or hardcore!philza lore he'll bring over, or bbh!demon lore. I don't think it's the end of events or anything like that.

now, more than ever, we need trust. just because the beloved ovos are gone, doesn't mean qsmp ends. we need to understand that wasn't the point of the server, and though it may have become that, now it will revert back to its original purpose: uniting languages and people from different countries. it will continue. just without the eggs. we'll miss you eggos, and

Rant about qsmp management below:

After reading the testimony of the ex-head writer of the qsmp and other past admins I’m so confused. Like,, who the fuck was the one making calls saying “this specific task has to be done within a day” out of nowhere???

For what purpose?? It makes zero sense to me how you could require /any/ team to come up with so many assets so quickly when the head writer, designers, social media accounts, AND translators all had no clue what they were ultimately going to be used for. Where the fuck was the crunch coming from? There isn’t a rule saying mc servers must have a rushed event every specific number of days, so nothing /had/ to be done this way.

I’m just so fascinated by the short sightedness of this system?? Especially because these dates and deadlines were made up entirely internally. Fans didn’t make up when Purgatory /must/ go live. The social media accounts were only told about the event a bit before us, much to their panic and confusion. Then, that sudden announcement results in fans getting excited for a new event, all while the head writer was being told they had a day to write scripts for everything. I’m so confused how a project could so consitantly create its own issue. Workers were clearly suffering this way and for no reason. A basic level of scheduling, a simple calendar, would fix this. Hell just put dates on the discord server in a shared channel only used for announcements so people can see.

This entire failure is something so solvable too which is probably what gets me! Like wtf, person at the top of the pyramid, you’re the one making the rules?? The dates are what you make them to be higher ups! Nothing was stopping the decision makers from pushing their expectations back a bit and giving people even just a week to work.

This entire thing reads like a non-creative with zero management experience being in charge of the project. That’s the only way I can wrap my head around someone thinking script writing, modeling, and website design could happen /consistently/ within a few hours notice.

That’s the kind of opinion my mom would have about anything art or creativity related. It’s disheartening as fuck when someone essentially thinks you press a button and then you just instantly spit out work. It shows that they don’t understand the time and effort required to make something good.

Such a blatant lack of understanding or appreciation like that grinds my gears. No matter how you cut the cake, after a certain point it shows an unwillingness to care and a lack of respect. WHICH SUCKS BECAUSE THIS IS A CREATIVE PROJECT!!! The qsmp /required/ a high level of care about these fields if they wanted to maintain the image they had.

Anyway, I know this is a negatively skewed rant and it’s very frustrating, but I want it to be clear that Creatives will always deserve better. Everyone deserves better than a manager who doesn’t understand/give a shit about their craft. If that is the case, they at the very least, need to hire someone who does.

If they were gonna do this why didn’t they just do it from right after the short shutdown.

Like if I remember the planning for all the start of the server took a while and even tho it’s not a complete start of a server they’ve lost like all their big writers, developers, admins.

Most of the players aren’t really interested or too much have stuff going on now so like are they getting new people? That takes a while to gather and plan?

Also I don’t feel like they’ve even tried to regain trust or show us they’ve changed. They just wave shiny new things in our faces. I’m so cautious towards anything from QStudios bc all I can think is “did the creator get paid” “are the admins rn treated okay?” I mean they haven’t even compensated or communicated anything or hell even just an apology and acknowledgment of what the admins went through this past year.

It’s so frustrating bc I want to like it. It’s still my hyperfixation as hard as I’m trying to throw myself into other content (bless the shelter mwah).

It drives me insane because regaining trust could be pretty easy. Like now we can even hold the CEO accountable bc we don’t know anyone behind the scenes in charge of QStudios. Which to me just makes me even more wary of trusting them.

I hate to say that beyond her original statements the way Lea has handled this has felt weird to me. I'm glad she came forward and let us know that the admins were being overworked and there was no pay. That is a situation that needs to be fixed and I don't blame her for being fed up with how she was treated. Beyond that she is very clearly enjoying the fallout from this whether people want to admit it or not. Doing an "interview" riddled with microagressions (literally had to take a deep breathe every couple of lines when reading the translation of her "interview") is bizzare. Legal action is apparently already underway from both sides, the French workers union is already involved. All that this recent conversation allowed her to do was drag quackity through the mud. She clearly has a vendetta and honestly I'd respect it if she was just straight up like "they treated me like shit and I hold a grudge so fuck quackity and the qsmp" but she's on twitter like "guys I wish nothing but the best for the project <3" Clearly you don't lmao at least say all of this with your chest and admit to enjoying the attention this has bought especially in the French sphere. I think the worst part of that transcript for me was where she said Quackity has worked with shady people in the past. Ah yes because of course a young Mexican man has shady connections!!!! Thank you so much for letting us know that Lea that's really bringing light to whats needing to be discussed and is clearly advocating for worked rights and not a disgusting racist stereotype!! Also how would she apparently know that if she never spoke to quackity? That's not the type of shit you just throw around about people.

it stills feels bad to see it brought up like that in that interview. especially in the context of the interview, and especially when (AS FAR AS I AM AWARE) the only person publicly confirmed to have been a minor when brought into the project was shade (please correct me if im wrong, i haven been following every single update about this)

it really feels like trying to fish for reactions, and it sure as hell, once again, sadly fits into painting the stereotype of "shady latin man with shady connections oh noooooo"

For those who don’t know, Léa used to be an admin at Quackity studios. She was an actor, writer, builder, translator, illustrator and community manager on the QSMPGlobal twitter account. She played many characters such as DanSir the capybara and Lapin the french rabbit (blue tie).
