#qsmp admin situation

Quackity is giving some updates about QSMP structural changes:

- He has been on many calls and reading comments, but is still not done.

- People who were in charge some of the financial and administrative wrong doings were fired.

- The QSMP wouldn't last much longer if I had kept going the way I was doing.

- He is basically restarting the administration almost from zero

- There won't be more individual update accounts for each creator or each language at least for a while

- There won't be any eggs or npcs **TEMPORARILY**

-Creators will be in charge of their own lore and the team is not going to intervene in that anymore

- The competitive level is going to slow down

- The server will be in basic terms

- The server might be re opened but that doesn't mean everything is fixed

okay i am still not really able to properly articulate everything i want to say about the admin situation but i'm seeing a lot of doomposting and also lots of people setting themselves up for disappointment with wildly optimistic assumptions so lemme just try to hit some bullet points

adding another new creator and language in this time of turmoil is not ideal, but he was leaked a while ago that he'd been accepted and waiting to join for a while before the whole situation dropped and leaving him in limbo after he's already set aside the time in his schedule for qsmp is also not ideal

we are probably not gonna hear anything more specific than we've already heard until negotiations are finalized. inviting The Entire Internet to comment on every single detail of the negotiations at every step of the way is not going to help

everything we hear from quackity will be as positive as possible. everything we hear from the union will be as negative as possible. it is their jobs to be this way. temper your reactions accordingly

both quackity and the union want a solution where the qsmp continues and the eggmins all keep their jobs and get paid fairly for reasonable labor in reasonable conditions. the union is not gonna be gunning to take down the qsmp

a lot of the negotiations are going to be over what reasonable labor and conditions actually look like for a job that necessarily includes weird and inconsistent hours and labor demands. this is going to take a while to figure out

the other main issue is going to be backpay for the labor that the staff has already done. this is going to be a massive chunk of change. it's also going to take a while to figure out who is owed what and whether it should be paid out all at once or over a period of time

all of these money issues are going to be complicated by the many different currencies and tax standards involved.

tl;dr: this is a complicated situation and it won't be solved any time soon and we shouldn't really expect updates until everything is finished which wont be for a while, but it's actively being worked on and solutions do exist

From what I'm reading from french twt and quotes on ayp's tweets (me and friends are having to translate both french and spanish around this topic and twt search function is SHIT rn 😭), supposedly yes. Quackity was contacted by some workers a week before the whole thing leaked and he was already trying to understand where his money went and calling for a meeting with those workers so he could better understand. This one friend was a streamer and convinced Leah to leak it all so she could cover it all in order to be the main source of information. This same streamer later kept endorsing Leah and even that one interview that was really xenophobic, if yall remember that, and also made another stream (now deleted) where she invented so much stuff it was from where the fake information about Pol came out at the time. Later, one of her victims came out and made the call out post about the sexual assault that apparently they wanted to make way before but didn't bc the qsmp thing blew up. Apparently.

(the sexual predator is the streamer we are talking about, the main vulture and the one who interviewed leah and flammed frenchtwt against quackity and even shared the doxxed info)

I feel like I have to explain this, Tubbo said that he wasn’t in the loop on the admin discussion and wasn’t keeping up with it. He was trying to explain that anything he said that implied certain things weren’t/were happening that audience didn’t know weren’t actually implications since he does not know more than us. He was also trying to say why he may talk weirdly about Sunny coming back because he can’t know for sure she is.

People be like "it's OK to take a break from everything!!" without realising that it's not a break for fans who were following the french ccs. It's a permanent leave.

Like, imagine that your favorite egg(s) and cc(s) left because of mismanagement overnight. Really, imagine it for a second. Your faves don't show up anymore. Quackity doesn't even acknowledge they're gone despite the fault lying on his studio. Imagine having to "take a break" after that. Truly put yourself in our shoes for a second.

You need to realise that right now, "Taking a break" feels more like "accepting that we're being kicked out without a word"

It is. Deeply. Deeply. Frustrating. Especially since the problems in question were consistently pointed out by fans and ccs.

Also, for the record, I DID try to take a break. And then literally the next day Pomme's and Dapper's admins left. So yeah I'm done waiting. I want solutions to the problems we've been screaming about for months.

If not for us, then at least for the rest of you.

Sorry if you think im being impatient. That i don't give Quackity enough grace. But the problem with the integration of the french community started day one. It's normal for us fans to assume the best, to assume that surely, those were just one-off errors and that they were being resolved behind the scene. But it's not normal for Quackity to do the same.

How tf did Quackity let it slide for so long without investigating the cause? Did he even notice/care that we were consistently left out? How did he not know that Lumi was the only french admin on the team? Why did he seemingly not talk to any of the admins in private even ONCE in an entire year ?

Say what you want, that he's young, that he's overwhelmed, that he never managed such a big team, that he blindly trusted the management he put in place, all that is true... but that doesn't erase the fact that he himself took these risks. It's his own fault for creating such an ambitious server without the necessary skills to oversee every aspect of it. And im sorry if his mental health takes a toll because of this situation but it is NOT hate to point these facts out.

Does anyone have any updates on if Solidaires Informatique actually ended up suing Quackity Studios for the alleged workplace abuse they said they'd sue for?

As far as I know Quackity/Quackity Studios still hasn't given an update to whether or not the workers were ever paid/got into contact with again, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
