Qantassaurus is an Ornithopod known from the Wonthaggi Formation of the Strezelecki Group, Victoria, Australia. It dates back to the Aptian age of the Early Cretaceous, around 115 million years ago. It is only known from jaw fragments, which are short compared to its relatives so it had a relatively short face compared to them. It was probably around 1.8 meters long and one meter high, and like other ornithopods was a bipedal runner, feeding on low lying vegetation. It was probably covered in protofeathers, especially since it lived in the Antarctic Circle. It was possibly a part of a newly defined group known as the Gondwanan Clade of Iguanodonts.
