Author’s Notes: HELLO, I’m semi-back. I’ve tried to slowly get back into writing because why not (lowkey want to see what happens next, but I’m the writer-). If you are uncomfortable with it, I advise you not to read it. This does not affect the other stories, think of it as an alternate universe or something- It mentions some characters from previous fics. For those who have read it, I hope you enjoy it. It has not been proofread, although feedback is appreciated if you message me privately. I will edit it later. This series seems to continue as long as I have ideas for it.
After the conversation, Raven left for bed and left Ina to pack up the remaining mess in her office. She attempted to sleep to no avail. Laying in bed with her eyes closed, tired but with a restless mind. Ina entered and crawled into bed, holding Raven. Yet, when Raven felt her hold, she felt uneasy. Confused, she slowly drifted off into sleep and clutched Ina’s hand to her chest.
The next morning, the sunrise warmed Raven’s face, causing her to stir back. Turning in bed, she admired her lover. She felt the threatening thoughts arise in her mind, which were quietened down when she saw how at peace Ina was. Without disturbing her, she got ready for the day and left Ina some breakfast and a note before heading off to work.
Raven attended her meetings but she wasn’t present, causing Jesse to call for her attention to a matter.
“Raven, are you listening?”
This snapped Raven to attention, finally focusing on the project at hand.
“I’m sorry, can you repeat that?”
“I said the project’s prototype is going to be delayed due to a testing issue with the storage data. Should we bring in an additional team or extend the time for the project?”
“Bring an additional team to finish the prototype, we can’t delay the project any longer. Raines needs that prototype in a few days. We need to show him a prototype at least, not the final product.”
With that, Raven adjusted her mindset to focus on work, causing her to finish work earlier. The entire day was a blur of formalities, contracts, and meetings but Raven noticed after work that Ina had sent her messages updating her on her day. Raven decided not to open the messages, a strange habit that she is not used to, but her heart pained her when doing so. Missing her lover yet at war with herself tore her apart, regardless of the reassurance she received.
“Raven!”
As Raven reached her car, she turned to find Jesse jogging towards her.
“You were flying around, but I wasn’t even able to catch you. You looked distracted earlier today, but I didn’t get a chance to ask you about it.”
“I was just preoccupied with things. Work, future things, that’s all.”
“But you’ve never let that affect you before, especially at work.”
Raven was so desperate to get into her car and drive away or crawl into herself. She wished to be anywhere that was not under Jesse’s curious stare. When she realized that Jesse was not going to drop the interrogation, she sighed and decided to sit down on a nearby bench.
“Ina’s ex came to the apartment with the intention of seeing Ina again and rekindling. She was saying how Ina would be unhappy if she planned her future with me, as I’m in a different life stage than her.”
“How come when you were together, you didn’t notice this, but it’s making you doubt the relationship after the ex turned up?”
“I mean, before we were fine, but lately I have noticed it before her appearance that things are different. When and how we work, how we do things, physically and emotionally.”
“This is going to sound annoying, but did you ask her or tell her about the ex?”
“Of course not! I mean, I mentioned how I feel about the whole life stage gap. I didn’t bother with the age gap, but I guess, realistically? When I’m going through my daily routines with her, it’s starting a rift in my mind. I’m scared she’ll leave me or I’d have this doubt get worse and she’d have to step on eggshells to make us work.”
Jesse wasn’t sure how she could help. It reminded her of Raven suffering on her own, simply because she thought no one could help her or reassure her. She sighed, walking back and forth, before sitting down next to Raven for a hug.
“Raven, I may not be able to fully understand the situation. But I understand how you’re feeling. This is going to sound so damn annoying, but I think you should tell Ina the full story and how you’re truly feeling. But for now, go home and spend time with her. She’s been texting me because you refused to answer her calls today.”
Raven hated the feeling of confrontation but knew she was right. Her chest felt tight at the thought of Ina feeling rejected by the number of messages and calls left unanswered. She parted ways with Jesse before rushing home, stopping to grab flowers and her favourite takeout food to make up for her avoidant behaviour. It wasn’t enough, she knew that, but it’s a mini step towards an apology.
I'm done replaying it from Chapter 1 to Chapter 14 for the Zoey route. \*Spoilers\* Warning- This Post is kinda long
My 4 thoughts on it:
1. I played the Good Girl route, and yeah it's fine. The MC is still a savage but the good girl is basically her sticking to her roots and being sweet, nice and understandable.
While the Bad girl route is more of her embracing her inter Poppy by being a bully, being a bit selfish and egoistical sometimes.
Here is a example: In Chapter 7: Embarrassing of Chloe can happens in two ways.
Good Girl route: You can warn her not to believe anything Bradley says. Then after you give him the words to say. Chloe will say call him and Poppy out and left. She was only a little in embarrassed enough that Poppy is #1 again.
Bad Girl Route: Pretty do everything that Poppy says and Chloe left being humiliated like Poppy planned.
2. Ina is very respectful & understandable if you ignore her advances. Also, there is times you won't get some choices you're not romancing her at all. However, the non heart choices were still good. I still see she likes the MC even if you don't make any advances towards her. I thought those choices were better than the flirty heart ones.
3. Also, I love Ina which made it was hard for me sometimes when I was ignoring and saying no to Ina. I really picked no heart options with her, and I didn't play most of her diamonds if they didn't gain me any reputation points. I'm also shocked that the game will acknowledge that you and her didn't do anything, if you didn't romance her in Chapter 12 in Chapter 13 you have the option to tell Poppy you guys didn't do anything. All she says well that making assumptions is very powerful thing.
4. Lastly, Zoey is great to be honest, and I picked all her heart choices and you get some moments if you have enough heart points with her. Honestly, it was great. I like the chemistry between the both of them. I still not mad at her reaction at the party, yes she was worst for calling her poppy but the MC do act like her sometimes even if you're good girl. At least she apologized for saying that. Overall, I loved Romancing her and I don't have any regrets. I also want a image of Zoey and The MC or just one with Zoey before the end of Chapter 16. Ian/Ina got 3 it's about time Zoey can get one as well. I hope we get one next week hopefully.
