“have you talked to mom and dad?” xiu asked softly as she sat on q’s bed in charm’s dorm, knees pulled up to her chest as she absentmindedly pulled her long, dark hair into two seconds and began braiding one of them. she didn’t get too many opportunities to see her older brother, what with charm being so busy. it seemed as though they had just ended promotions for clap and they were already gearing up for another comeback. a comeback that would happen just days before vice’s debut. they would be promoting at the same time, and the thought was so weird to her. very foreign, although she liked it. the two of them would be able to make their parents proud at the same time. 

“i haven’t spoken to them since sunday.” this was the first time they had spoken out loud to one another since a few minutes after she arrived, the silence lasting for almost twenty minutes. while that might have been awkward for some people, it was comfortable for them. they didn’t feel the need to talk too much in each other’s presence, both of them being fairly quiet people. “this is the first time in a long time where i’ve had more than an hour or so to myself. they’ve been working us really hard with our debut coming up in a few days.”

     For the longest time, he thought he would never make anyone proud or ever feel proud. With a father observing with a scorning gaze, finding any chance to leave the house, Minwoo was made to feel as unworthy of any purpose. With the appearance of an ugly child and failing academics, he was falling behind, and he began to believe he was not unworthy just like his father preached. It was not until he ran away at sixteen when he discovered a route to purpose. With a new group of faces pushing him forward to strive for better, he found himself living to life’s potential. Many heartbreaks and struggles came into his life, but it was determined that one must struggle in order to feel the most proud. Stepping onstage for the first time ever, it is 2016, and Blue was smiling with the widest smile. That’s when he felt the proudest. Finally, he found his place in the world.

13: …the type of music they like.

They find it strange sometimes, the rest of Diary, how Min can listen to so many different genres of music so easily, how she can flit through the different scenes and languages as if they were pages in a book. To Min, it’s anything but perplexing. She enjoys all kinds of music. They’re expressions of feelings and emotions, of personality and style. And much like having an arsenal of clothing to pick from, Min enjoys the versatility of the difference, having a song to fit her current mood or situation. It’s a little odd, she will admit, sometimes, especially when her phone is set to shuffle and a loud Lipstick song blares from the speakers after a soothing Ed Sheeran ballad, but she won’t change. She enjoys her quirks, and between me and you? She’s stubborn as all hell and has a bigger pride than she’d like to let on.

2. …being touched.

Dohee is a big proponent of personal space. She doesn’t show it usually, because it would seem rude, but she doesn’t like being touched by other people she’s not close to without express permission. She had mysophobia in elementary school that may have somewhat influenced a distaste for physical contact with others and while she doesn’t really have it anymore, she avoids touching most people, especially upon first meeting. She’s especially sensitive to her face being touched. Once she’s close to someone, she doesn’t mind being touched as much, but if she returns the contact, it’s almost always a conscious decision and not a subconscious reciprocation.

3. …how long they hold grudges.

Though he would hate to admit it, Ash can hold grudges for a very long time. He’s incredibly sensitive to the actions of others and often obsesses over or overthinks others’ actions or words. Things people did years ago might still affect his perception of them, despite how badly he’d like for them not to due to his own hatred of being judged for someone he isn’t. The longer he holds a grudge against someone, the more he starts to hate himself for it, which can turn into a vicious cycle of both the grudge and the resentment toward himself getting worse. Even when he makes amends with someone he has a grudge against, he finds it extremely hard to let go of it completely because of how deep and long-lasting his emotions, both good and bad, are.
