Nem se Qingyue se odiasse prestaria aquele tipo de papel, não tinha cabeça e muito menos energia para aturar sua família ao seu redor — literalmente falando. Já bastava conviver com seu irmão, ter seus familiares em seu ambiente de trabalho seria o cúmulo. Partiu para a França a princípio, se instalou em Paris e fez dali sua morada por alguns meses, trabalhando como modelo fotográfica para marcas conceituadas do continente europeu, alavancando sua carreira em ascensão.

No entanto, foi em Liège onde ela encontrou o que seria seu lar nos meses seguintes, e, também, onde conheceu Pieter nesta pequena viagem a trabalho até a cidade belga. Parecia predestinado, um fotógrafo iniciante e uma modelo nova na agência, todos os encontros fizeram os dois se aproximarem e cinco anos depois Qingyue estava noiva do galanteador fotógrafo. Não achou que pudesse se impactar tanto por causa daquilo, sempre pensou que tinha em seu peito um coração bastante forte e desiludido, porém aquela havia sido a constatação do quão errada estava.

Faziam poucos meses desde seu término, já não era tão produtiva como outrora havia sido, todos que a conheciam no ramo sabiam o quanto a chinesa trabalhava duro para entregar qualidade em suas produções, não importava por qual situação ela estivesse passando, no entanto todas aquelas circunstâncias arrastaram Qingyue para um limbo e odiava admitir que estava frustrada e furiosa por ter sido traída. Não se falava em outra coisa nos fóruns de moda, agora ela era apenas conhecida como “a corna de Liège”. Para completar a situação, Pieter não parava de querer entrar em contato, Qingyue já estava chegando no seu limite de autocontrole, por isso resolveu ir embora e se acovardar ao abandonar, por um pequeno momento, sua carreira.

Voltar para casa não era uma opção sabendo que seus pais iriam apenas esfregar em sua cara o quanto as próprias decisões haviam a colocado no fundo do poço, por isso procurou uma outra solução para aquele pequeno empecilho. Sabia que um de seus primos tinha uma residência em um condomínio na Coreia do Sul, seria um ótimo lugar para se esconder de toda a mídia e até mesmo de Pieter, desesperado pelo perdão da Zheng. A ideia era ficar ali por um tempo ou até as coisas se acalmarem, não queria ser uma intrometida na vida do primo, só esperava que ele a recebesse de braços abertos com aquela chegada sem qualquer aviso.

While Qingyue prepares the cassia sachets for this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, Baishuo reads books about the legends of the Lunar Goddess. He is not amused.

This sends Qingyue on a trip down memory lane. She used to be a princess in Miraland, back when Cloudcrest was still the capitol of Cloud Empire. Her father, a powerful lord, would buy her books to practice medicine. She would heal the whole city.

One day, she found an injured white bunny holding a piece of jade. She was able to heal the bunny, and she kept the jade. It brought her visions of moonlight, and it let her hear people's innermost thoughts: wishes of longing, for reunion with distant relatives. This power wasn't so bad. After all, her family's role in the Mid-Autumn Festival ceremony was to convey the people's wishes and ask for blessings. This year would be her first time doing it. Her father promised to come back from the war with Pigeon to watch her do it.

But despite the many wins, his troop was ambushed, and he died. Qingyue was alone. The jade piece with her grew warm, and the moonlight shone brighter. She could hear voices all around her as she made her way to Cloudcrest Pagoda. During the ceremony, she wished more than ever to see her father one last time.

It was this wish that sent her to the Ocean of Memories, to the Moon Palace. The bunny followed her, becoming a youth named Baishuo.

Now, Qingyue is the Lunar Envoy. While she can't be with her father again, she has the ability to convey others' wishes and bless them in return. She makes sure no one feels alone.
