An ancient adage often found in Highwind went, “Flying is just falling–with style!”

Wisteria didn’t know which fossilized citizen thought of that, but putting it on a plaque in front of the gliders for rent was way too foreboding. Not that it mattered to most of the locals. Wind Gliding was a time and tested tradition often done for festivals or casual competitions. It wasn’t her favorite thing in the world, but she supposed she could understand how this must’ve felt like freedom to those who were used to the musky, trapped underground air. At the very least, the feeling of wind blowing through her hair was relaxing, as was the lovely view of the lush greenery below.

Another Old World saying went, “ Every Bird has to leave the nest to learn to fly. ”
