Thinking about scene q! Pac e Mike..,, and pacputting fit in scene clothes,,,

I was gonna make this longer but I ran out of steam bc it started to get a little too like a fic. But here's a thought I've been rotating.

Consider broke single dad Fit finally sucks it up and goes to the food bank. Phil's been subtly bringing it up for a while. Phil knew Fit was too proud. And Fit had narrowly escaped obliterating his pride altogether trying to get the name from Phil. It's a network of community centers in the midst of high-rises. Fit's still a little nervous but takes Ramón, promising they can get a little treat on the way home.

Despite Fit's awkwardness and hesitation, the much shorter and elaborately dressed woman he talks to at the food bank is great. She makes jokes and tells stories the whole time he's at the desk. He gets a good idea of the vibes of the place. She gives him pamphlets indiscriminately. Health clinics, eye clinics, dental clinics, childcare, support groups, child programs, safe drug use, adult education, etc. She offers him a gas card along with his ticket for a food box.

Then, she hands him a thrift ticket for some things for him and Ramón. They're just across the courtyard. The guys there are awesome, she promises. It isn't a lot but it still feels like more than what Fit should get. She says he can use it any time in the next week. He decides, since it's just across the courtyard it probably wouldn't be too bad.

He opts to not get his food box yet. Instead he holds Ramón's hand tight as they walk across the park area to the thrift store though. He's still weary of everyone. There's people clearly in far worse situations than him lounging with totes and wheeled carts towards the shaded benches. A few people who are visibly asleep on benches or eating out of cans with plastic forks. Someone looked noticeably... high. It makes him walk a little faster. He feels out of place while also feeling wrong for feeling that way. For a moment he feels conflicted before deciding to trust his gut for now. He's just here for a food box and some school clothes.

Even though he tenses remembering how almost every other day he spends hours trying to figure out how they would keep their house and not end up sleeping in Fit's truck. It wasn't the time to think abut that.

Ramón's little squeeze of Fit's first two fingers should have been expected. It made him flinch internally anyways. Of course that and the increased pace concerned Ramón. God dammit. He swallows subtly before speaking. "It's fine, Ramón," he reassures almost in a whisper. It was probably louder though. "I got a little worried, but we're safe. It's just a new place."

When they get to the door there's a sign in about five different languages telling him to wait outside. That there's limits on how many people can be inside at once. Fit is about to turn around and find a spot for them to wait at when a man comes into view. The door opens to some laughter and a foam ball smacks him in the back of the head before he can say a word to Fit. It was a relief, honestly.

after talking about my pac headcanons i want to talk about mike:

mike is just Some Guy a bit to the left but gods flock to him like moths to a flame for some reason. he's childhood best friends and has a mindlink with a demigod and is married to the Goddess of Creation

mike does have some something weird going on with his dna but that was after doing several lab experiments with strange chemicals. he can do things like become Really Small when he gets very stressed (he can't do it on command) and who knows what else
