Alan Moore’s Star Death says that Rassilon and Omega collapsed the star Qqaba into a black hole to enable time travel, so I always just understood that it was the Eye of Harmony, yknow, the collapsing-star that powers Gallifreyan time travel. This seems to make intuitive sense to me. But apparently Qqaba and the Eye are actually completely different, and nothing has ever actually identified one with the other. Fuck me right up Doctor Who?!?
