Here we go! Feel free to be as creative with your answers, reblog it, leave a comment, add pictures. Anything, it's a few world!
QQOTD 1#: What's your dream role(s) in a musical or a play? (Feel free to state your reasons)
Mine are:
1. Marya Dmitrievna Akhrosimova from the Great Comet. The power in this character, holy geez. Grace McLean? These expectations are high but hey, I can scream in pitch just not as amazing as Grace does it 😂 She seems like a real awesome character to play & her costumes are freaking gorgeous.
2. Persephone from Hadestown. Do I really have to explain this one? THE ENERGY, THE SONGS, THE WHOLE THING ABOUT HADESTOWN. This is definitely a role that I strive for in the future and I will work hard to make this dream role come true. Maybe not on broadway but if I ever make it into a production of Hadestown as Perseohone, I'll be so happy.
3. The Witch from Into the Woods. A role I've always wanted to play ever since I was 13. I missed my chance in middle school because they decided to do it after I left when it was my suggestion to do it the year before. Costumes are astounding, the costume change especially. Songs are bops, and the rap. Oh my goodness, yes. And it's Sondheim for crying out loud.
4. The Astronomer from Ghost Quartet. His songs are simple & boppy (listen to Father's & Sons!) ! To play a Dave Malloy character in a musical written by him, expectation are high! P.s, as an Alto, his songs are really the most do-able ones.
5. Sally Bowles from Cabaret. She's so much fun to play and her songs are all BOPS! Don't Tell Mama especially. Hehe. I get to sing about cabaret and love and wear amazing costumes! What's not to love?
6. Fantine from Les Miserables. I die, I know, but she was one of those characters that I've always wanted to play ever since I was 13 (like the Witch from Into the Woods). A dream that may never happen because her vocals are so strong & I'll never reach the standards of the actresses who've played Fantine. (Caissie Levy, Lea freaking Salonga)
7. Nina from In the Heights. She's such a powerful character & her songs are amazing. I'll never be able to belt like Mandy Gonzalez but it doesn't hurt to dream & scream the songs in my room and pretend that I'm playing the role. 😂
