Rant/Tangent about people who dislike the Qrow being Ruby’s Dad Theory and take their anger out on us:

Instead of people getting mad at us for liking the Hummingbird/Flown north ship and the Dad Qrow theory (yes I said theory bite me), which we love due to the great father-daughter chemistry Ruby and Qrow have, why don’t you all be more upset with RT for not writing more moments between her and Taiyang?

Yang gets a whole season showing her relationship with her father while Ruby is mainly attached to Qrow. We don’t get anything more than 3 minutes in V3’s final episode and now we have seasons of Qrow and Ruby being close-as-fuck family. What else do you want us to do with the information presented in the show?

And I’m sorry, “the writers said differently” doesn’t cut it since they said the same shit about Penny being dead and she’s back. Also Rebecca Sugar of SU dismissed the Pink Diamond is Rose Quartz theory and LOOK WHAT HAPPENED.

I’ll even let you in on a little secret: us fans of the theory also want more screen time between them, because if he really is her father like the showrunners say he is, don’t you think the lack of screen time together is super a bit suspicious?

I’d love to see their relationship but as it stands Qrow is the one looking after Ruby. He’s the one speaking to her about her mother. He’s risking his life for the sake of her, her sister. and her team. So rhetorical request please tell me again why I should think differently.

I’m not arguing with people or trying to change their fucking minds. I literally would just appreciate if people could keep their UNWANTED and UNNECESSARILY SALTY opinions to themselves while I enjoy my own slice of the fandom.

Some people don’t like it, but a LOT of people do, and it isn’t fair that they’ve been harassed and bullied into abandoning what they once loved.

So if I’ve got to take a lot of the brunt of the ever stupid comments like: “””Ooooooo he can’t b her uncle hurrr dee durrr gotta b the dad because he shares her color scheme hurrr durp dee do””” and keep making content so that others feel confident enough to engage in it, then fine. I don’t give a shit.
