Happy Sunday!! I’ve got one more little message for you, and I’m going to post my thing for you and reveal myself later today - it might end up being super late or tomorrow morning bc of my timezone and my sleep schedule, so sorry about that!! Alright, so Sam works in the library as his work-study, and he gets stuck on shelving duty a lot because he’s a giant. And Cas frequents the library, because his major means reading a lot of texts that they have in the library. Of course, the universe

seems to be against him, because even though he’s plenty tall, he’s not quite tall enough to reach the highest shelf and all of the books he needs seem to be up there, plus none of the ladders are ever nearby or free. So he has to ask Sam a lot, because Sam is almost always in the shelves and nearby. Sam always smiles and grabs the book no problem, and Cas finds himself more than little attracted. He doesn’t ask Sam out or anything though, because he’s ace and he knows he’s ace but his last

partner dumped him because of it, and he’s still a little tender. Sam ends up making the first move, though, through a stumbled, blushing offer to buy coffee, and Cas stutters his way through an explanation of his sexuality, and finds out that Sam is ace too. They become a lot less stutter-y and awkward after that, and go on more coffee dates, and then to movie theaters, and eventually they end up rooming together, glad to find someone they’re happy with.

AHHHHH, this is so cute, and I feel this so much because I work in a college library, and all the most often used books are on the tallest damn shelves, and I’m only 5′5″. The struggle is real. This is so perfect, and really, everything you’ve sent me had been spectacular. This week has been so much fun, and I’ve loved getting your messages to me too! Okay so I’m digging all of these sastiel AUs and I hope you are too? Either way, here’s another one!! So Sam has been having a pretty rough time recently so Dean convinces him to go to their local animal shelter, just to play with the puppies, because even though he hates dogs he knows that his brother loves them and there are all of those scientific studies that show it’s good for people. And so Cas is on shift when this shaggy-haired giant walks in, asking shyly if it would be okay if he spent

some time with the puppies. Cas says yes, of course, and the next week he’s back, with the same request. Eventually, Cas offers him a spot as a volunteer because at this point he spends about the same amount of time and so he might as well be doing something useful. It’s then that they’re properly introduced. And Cas may have worked out the shifts so he’s usually there when Sam comes in. They get to know each other, and eventually become roommates when Cas’ lease is up and he can’t find anywhere to stay. Neither of them can think of anybody else they’ve ever been as comfortable with, romantic relationship or no. -QSWA

Believe me, sweetheart, I’m LOVING these AUS. Honestly, Sam and Cas working at an animal shelter together is so real, I could see that in canonverse and every AU under the sun. And Sam going to pet dogs as a coping mechanism, that’s my cup of tea. This is just soooo perfect.

I’m so sorry I’m late again - life got in the way!! I’ll send you two today to make up for it. Okay so sastiel professor!AU. Sam’s in the comparative literature department and Cas is in the classics department, and they first meet when a coworker introduced them and their ace rings clink together. They both notice, and end up staying at the bar long after their coworker leaves, talking about asexuality and work and everything in between. They become fast friends, then more than friends,

guest lecturing for each other’s classes and getting coffee in the nearby coffee shop together. Of course, they keep it professional at work, so their students don’t know they’re in a relationship. Instead, the students keep trying to set them up, in more and more elaborate ways. Sam and Cas find it hilarious, and keep a running tally of all the ways the kids have tried. Of course, it’s all ruined when a few students see Sam pecking Cas on the cheek as they get out of their car and start heading for their separate offices. Sam and Cas never hear the end of it after that. -QSWA

Aaahhh, this is so cute! Of course they would instantly click- pun intended- after the ace talk. Professor AU is so up my alley, especially lit professors. They’re just ace nerds in love. Also, don’t worry, it happens :)

Okay so you mentioned that you like AUs, so imagine a sastiel!AU where Sam and Cas are just dudes. They were assigned to be roommates in their freshman year of college, and became really close, so they ended up living together all through college, and start renting an apartment once they find jobs. They just click. Sure, they argue occasionally, but they have their routines. Sam knows Cas’ quirks; the way he takes his coffee (as black as possible - it makes Sam gag when he tries it), (more)

his struggles understanding human interaction. And Cas knows all of Sam’s; his triggers, how he’ll forget to eat and sleep when he’s working. They look out for each other, and they never seem to get tired of each other - even Sam, who’s incredibly introverted, finds that being with Cas doesn’t exhaust him the way being with everybody else does. They even have a laundry schedule. And everybody’s always teasing them about being an old married couple, or bugging them to date, (more) but the truth is, they’re happy. Dating’s too hard, and besides, they already feel like they couldn’t get any closer to anybody else. So sure, they’re not married, or dating, but they’re stable. They’re stable and they’re happy and they can’t think of anybody else to spend the rest of their lives with. -QSWA

Oh my lord, this is too damn cute for words! I love quirky sastiel sooooo much, they’re just the most adorkable pair ever, and there you go again with that queer platonic dynamic again, my heart can’t take much more. Just. “Stable.” That’s so pure.

Sorry I missed yesterday!! I was traveling and couldn’t find decent wifi. I’m going to send you another message later today to make up for it - I hope that’s okay. Anyway, so imagine queerplatonic sastiel. Sam’s not into romantic relationships, and Cas doesn’t really have a sense of platonic vs. romantic. He’s an angel, after all. But they’re close, really close. They cuddle and watch movies and spend down time together, and Cas feels like he can tell Sam anything, and Sam will understand.(more)

Sam always introduces Cas as “my friend, Cas,” but it’s more than that. Sam is closer to Cas than he’s ever been with anyone else. Their relationship is more intimate than a friendship, but he doesn’t know what else to call it. And that’s okay with both of them. They know how close they are, and ultimately, that’s what matters. -QSWA

And yesssssssss, queer!platonic sastiel is where it’s at! When they’re relationship is undefined and it fits them perfectly, just intimacy without obligations or lables aaaAAAHHHHH! It’s just lovely.

Okay but imagine Sam as a teenager. He’s never dated or anything, not at all like Dean, and he just can’t figure out what’s wrong with him. Dean is constantly going out with girls, and afterwards regales Sam with dirty tales he doesn’t really care to hear. And Sam wants to be like him, but he just can’t imagine feeling the same way. He fakes it a few times, but that’s even worse, so he stops. And it feels like he doesn’t fit his skin, and that doesn’t change until he gets to Stanford. (more)

There, with help from Brady and Jess, he figures out that he’s ace, and bi. And so when he starts hunting with Dean again, it’s one of the first things he tells him. He gets the words out somehow, but he’s terrified that Dean will turn his back and leave him with nothing. He couldn’t have been more wrong. Dean gives Sam a hug, tells Sam he’s proud of him, and Sam finally, finally feels right. -QSWA

Oh, my dude, this is just everything! Poor baby, Sam just internalizes everything, and he would definitely feel like he was broken until he found out about asexuality, kudos to Brady and Jess! I love love LOVE supportive Dean, so this was just a really nice headcanon. Thank you so much, darlin!

ok so I thought I’d start with a little sastiel!! I have this headcanon that Sam is ace and sex-repulsed, and has known for a while, but he’s never told anyone because he doesn’t think they’ll believe or accept him. And so when he and Cas start getting a little more serious, Sam doesn’t tell him because he thinks Cas will reject him. Eventually, though, Cas initiates something, because that’s what he’s been taught is the correct thing to do in a relationship, and Sam goes along with it, (more)

he thinks Cas is enjoying it and he doesn’t want to inconvenience him. But Cas realizes that Sam has a pained expression on his face and looks really uncomfortable, so he stops. He asks Sam what’s wrong, and Sam shakily explains, and Cas is like ??? Because, being an angel, he never really realized that it was okay to not like sex. So once Sam is done explaining asexuality, Cas tentatively replies that he thinks he’s asexual as well. (more) And then cuddle together under the covers until they fall asleep, Cas wrapped around Sam like an octopus, and Sam on his back breathing into Cas’ hair. -QSWA

Ahhhh! Be still my beating heart, this is so beautiful. Ace!Sam is my absolute favorite thing, and I love it when Cas is on the ace spectrum, too. I really like your sex-repulsed Sam here and Cas’s assumption that humans in relationships are just “supposed” to have sex. I have so many feels about this. I love the resolution at the end; clingy sastiel cuddles are the best. This is just such a satisfying start to the week, thanks sweetie!

Aw, thanks darlin, I’m really excited too! Other than my undying love for all things sastiel ( which I believe was on the form) I really love Sam and Dean being brothers. I’m an au kind of a gal, but I love hearing about queer!sam in canon, any flavor any time. If sastiel isn’t your thing, what I really would love is for Sam to have a boyfriend, pretty much any boyfriend. On the side, I’m also an aro!dean agender!cas fan- sign me up for the A-team free will. Outsider POV is always really fun, and I’m a big fan of bro angst as long as there’s a resolution.
