Duck Sauce - It's You

Duck Sauce is a faux-Chinese recipe created by south-Chinese emigrés to the United States. It was first intended to be served with deep-fried pressed duck, which at the time had no sauce of its own. Its use has since proliferated into mainstream adoption by diners looking for something sweet, tart and refreshing to accompany their spare ribs, egg rolls, and other east-Asian nibbles.

Ingredients 1 cup Chinese plum sauce 1 cup apricot preserves 1 cup peach preserves 1 cup applesauce 1/2 cup chilli sauce 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 2 teaspoons dry mustard

Mix ingredients and serve for a party in your mouth #QUACKISBACK
