How are the ROs on thanksgiving?
(Written as the quad poly route)
The shop is brimming with a mix of family and food. At one of the main tables skillfully crafted by Mr. Jaha, lively activity unfolds. M and Dawn share a common trait—they silently observe everyone at the table. Currently, M calmly blows on a small spoon they're holding, cooling it down before extending it to their daughter. Despite the action, neither M nor Dawn exchange glances; instead, their focus is fixed on Erica and S.
“—you get three partners and you think you’re all that?!”
“Oh, please. I know I am. Dont get mad at me because you can’t get one!”
S and Erica are expected to get into a fist fight before the turkey is served, and nobody finds this surprising. Meanwhile, B is in the kitchen, blissfully ignoring the chaos in the dining room and concentrating on the turkey they've been preparing for the past two days. When B finally brings the turkey out, Mr. Jaha looks visibly frustrated with the assassins.
He sat at the head of the table, his face buried in his hands. He occasionally peeked through his fingers to glare at the assassins. Miss Portia, at the opposite end of the table, looked equally tired of the holiday. Her children surrounded her, eagerly picking food off her plate.
The atmosphere takes a turn when B finally presents the dish on the table. Mothers eagerly dig in, and the initial arguing briefly subsides. However, chaos ensues during dessert as the children abandon any filters in their speech. Points are fiercely debated, and tensions escalate to the point where the assassin nearly climb jump across the table.
There is no boring thanksgiving with this lot. Only affection disguised as chaos.
