Another activity we tried this time around was Quad Biking in Rotorua, New Zealand. If you can drive a car, have common sense, enjoy great views and a little adrenaline rush- quad biking is definitely for you.
We took an hour track through the native forests and I loved how they tailored the ride to match both mine and Jase's skill set. Being that it was my first time, we had a little practice run which later determined how hard we would go. I'd say our track was gorgeous to look at and challenging at the same time.
Upon arrival, Jason and I got a very thin white jumper to protect our clothes, a helmet (with go-pro attachment…. so happy we brought our go-pro) boots and sun glasses. Although the shades didn't really protect our pretty faces from getting dusty and the cloth jumpers made us look more like Walter White from Breaking Bad than actually providing FULL coverage - we still had THE BEST TIME.
Our guide was funny, knowledgable about the native forests and didn't rush the hour. Not sure how popular this is in the summer, but in off season we were lucky enough to have it be just us!
Make sure to wear clothes that are for fun, bring socks for the boots they provide and ladies - no makeup!! They do have a fresh water tub that you can wash your face at and, bonus, it tastes really refreshing too!
I'd recommend a little adventure like this for anyone interested in mixing fun with views.
