HIM!!!! Getting to meet Steve yesterday was so so so good, I was absolutely shitting bricks but he was so sweet (he said I looked fab AHHHHH) and I ended up with a photo I actually like for once!! Had to do a retake though cos my glasses had some awful glare so they told me to look down a bit and then my friends the chins were in attendance so it came out awful lolsob. So thankful for the retake oh my god (also the reason I don't have my glasses on here haha)
I would have loved to get an autograph too, but I knew I'd want to buy shit from the con and with Perfect Circle on Thursday it wouldn't have been a good idea. It was an absolute pleasure to get to meet up with everyone as well, we had so much fun (and made a new friend) , so even though I'm now flaring up enough that I can't go to the con again today, I'm still happy because yesterday stevecon was so good. Genuinely the best time I've had at a con in a decade? We saw a bunch more stage/fright cosplayers too which was really cool! Two Hugos and one other Goudron, super fun! Ofc we got photos which I will have to retrieve from whoever has them haha
His Q&A was also super fun, and the way he was taking his time to talk to people at the signing table and being so patient and lovely was just heartwarming, ughhh I love him so much 😭😭

GENUINELY ONE OF THE BEST GIGS I'VE BEEN TO IN A LONG LONG TIME!!! Incredible energy, non stop banger after banger. Full, sold out stadium belting out the classics, getting to be closest I've been to a pit in over a decade because I was stood up leaning against my chair (no choice cos every single person stood up the second SOAD came on 🥲) but wowww oh my god.
QOTSA were also very very good, but they suffered from playing to a huge stadium with lots of people chattering, so the sound was a bit muffled and muddy (and couldn't tell a word Josh was saying between songs lmao). I'm not particularly fussed about this however because I've seen them a bunch of times already!
Anyway completely fucked now, throat is busted, but what a time. What a fucking time

i was tagged by @dangerliesbeforeyou to do this accent challenge, which was very fun and i've not done anything like this in foreverrr!
so onwards we go - funnily enough i pronounce rather more Ts in the reading out separate words section, which is entirely because i'm sort of used to trying to articulate them a bit more when speaking to make things clearer (too many phone conversations where people don't understand what i'm sayingldfghfg). the true yorkshire glottal stop is a lot more evident when i'm reading out the passage haha
