Posted: 14 Sep 2015 07:49 AM PDT http://clarkatron.tumblr.com/post/129075565134 Oh man, big doins this morning- I got an email late yesterday about a neighbor who was taking down their rosewood tree, and would I be interested in it? **YES.** This is (or was) a dalbergia sissoo, better known as Indian Rosewood, and is thought to be the only one growing in Houston. Sadly, this tree was badly damaged by a hard freeze a few years ago, and was on the verge of falling over and taking the garage out with it. I am happy that this tree won’t be heading to the landfill, and I am looking forward to making things out of it in the years to come.
