honestly it takes an extraordinary effort to make such likeable personalities like bashir or geordi less likeable with their actions like at the beginning of the series they are intriguing and full of potential but somehow when they interact with women they lose it and is just wrong like its so unnecessary tbc their romantic interests are with their Heterosexual Friendship. it wouñdve worked better if they hadnt tried relationships at all and stayed platonic with their Heterosexual Friend
