Just watched all of season 5 in one sitting (okay I did stop for pizza at episode 9 or so). Loved loved loved it, but I think my favorite moment had to be the vision of the possible future. That was like 'ohh! Right in the feels!'

i just HAD to follow your blog. I tell the story that this commercial is what cemented my place on Tumblr. I always thought that commercial had subtext to it, and most people thought I was odd. I got on Tumblr and probably the second day I saw a post from someone saying 'its almost the time of year for the incestuous Folgers commercial!'. And I was like 'ohhhh damn. I have found my people!'.
It’s a weird world we live in.
I had a thought today. And maybe people thought of this long ago and I'm reeaally late to the party. But I was thinking about the First Ones and how they're pretty much all gone-and have been for a while. And I thought: was Adora born over 1,000 years ago-and just pulled through that portal to present day Etheria? Like if that hadn't have happened Adora would have lived life as a First One and died centuries before any of her friends were even born?
Ohh, that’s an interesting thought! I guess we don’t know for sure if the portals can go through both space and time. I’m struggling to remember the episode, but I’m pretty sure Prime said that Eternia was conquered but not completely destroyed--kind of like the other planets we saw.
If Adora’s family is still royalty in this version of the show (like it was in the 80s), they might have been killed though... geez. Or we can just assume they’re off organizing a little resistance somewhere and Adora will find them when the Best Friend Squad goes zooming around the cosmos restoring magic. XD
It does seem a little odd to me that there was no She-Ra between Mara and Adora, though. 1,000 years is a long stretch, and it’s weird in the first place that only Eternians are able to become essentially the avatar of Etheria’s magic...
OHHH. I bet it’s because of the sword! Maybe Mara was a special case where a First One became She-Ra, and then their designer sword locked up the magic so that no Etherian could become She-Ra in the meantime--and since the whole planet was in a pocket dimension for a thousand years, they couldn’t exactly find another First One to become She-Ra. Dang!
I loved your tags on the Bow and Glimmer post! I've actually always loved the fics where the main characters' romance is viewed by others (where either they suspect and learn something is going on, or they're aware long before the main characters are).
Thank you! Fic from the perspective of an outside observer is definitely one of my favorite types. I’ve always found it interesting to consider how a character or a relationship is perceived by other characters within the story.

One of my favorite aspects of Xena was that fact that the goddess of love even had a crush on Gabrielle.
I love that instead of having love and war fall for each other, they had love fall for Gabrielle and war fall for Xena and Gabrielle and Xena fall for each other.
