We Have Reached Alec Throwback Thursday, Everyone!

I believe this is from around 2010 and the angle is odd but how adorable he looks here. He's got his curls all in his face and his long lanky legs and his cigarette held between his index and forefinger and that casual smile is just too much.

I think he has always had a lovely hollow of his throat.

So lovely twenty-six-ish Alec wishes you a great day!

At Last We Are at Alec Hair Appreciation Saturday!

Here are Alec and his curls looking ethereal with a tiny leaf sprig behind his ear. This is one of the beautiful Clare Shilland photos from the Fall 2017 i-D Magazine article by Colin Crummy.

There are just some images of him that ,like, obliterate all thought. I could try to explain at length WHY some do and others do not. I mean, basically they ALL do, because Him, but after not quite year of stanning this beautiful human like it's my job, I have my favorites.

The one with suspenders. Any stlll from the Picture House Q&A. And this one.

I can't even EXPLAIN what it is about his expression that is provocative or secret or knowing. Or how this looks like the first breath of golden morning light on his face, or how his curls make you want to touch to see if they are soft or tight or warm in the sun. But it's the wee sprig of leaf behind his ear that is just, dios.

It's such a tiny, small, thing, a playful thing, but I LOVE everything about it. How at ease he is with this tiny bit of green foliage behind his year, how it seems to FIT there?? How it brings forth fic ideas of the sidhe and fairy realms and Pan and who would not follow him into the entrance in an old tree and drink and eat all the things and never return so long as you could see his face.

We have reached Alec Throwback Thursday, Gente!

Otherwise known as Friday Eve! Here we have what looks to be a very young Alec. And, seriously, how many people can rock plaid and look this adorable? You can tell just from the roundness of his face and also from the retro hair that this is early in his career. His eyes are HUGE here! He has that lushness people get right before the last, total adult gene kicks in for good, all apple cheeks and baby face

I'm fairly sure he was in a play at this time. I honestly have no info on this pic except how cute he looks.

We’ve made it to Alec Freeform Friday, gente, and I have had one lone, challenging week. I do wish I were where Alec is here, looking out of a car at the expanse of desert.

I have only the vaguest notion of when this is. 2014? 2015? Possibly in Qatar, where he went to shoot a commercial for an exclusive hotel?

I do know I love the energy of this photo. His curls and sunglasses, his profile and the curve of his bicep below the short sleeve of his t-shirt. He looks reflective and content, gaze on the horizon as the hills of sand spread out before him.

Here’s to a relaxing weekend for all of us and may we all channel some of Alec’s Zen!

Happy Alec Throwback Thursday!

The denim shorts! The sunglasses! The skatepark! Has any photo ever screamed early 2000s louder? I don't actually now how much of throwback this is but I'm fairly sure he wouldn't try to rock those shorts these days...at least I don't...think?? ;-D

I know it's from far away but, again, he just doesn't look that tall here? Like he looks average sized and we know he is NOT. He does look very relaxed and like he's out on a day trip with friends.

How does he always seem so to at ease in his body? Like no matter what the photo, he always seems to inhabit space with this serene confidence, while at the same time not coming off as conceited? That's a skill.
