The question comes at breakfast, both Penny and Eddie are chowing down on cereal while Wayne plays with his food in his high chair, chewing too long on a soggy piece of waffle. Eddie’s  busy shoveling his sugary cereal down, eyes scanning over a potential contract Robin had already looked over for him. It’s nothing huge but it’s something, and you’ve been encouraging him to pursue music a little more, do something that makes him happier than tuning up cars–and he really does love it, it just gets annoying real fast; a side hobby he forced into a job. Took the enjoyment out of it. 

  Penny’s been staring at him all morning, glaring at him through her lashes with a firm scowl on her face. You’d noticed it when you got her up and ready, but she didn’t respond to your ‘why so glum, chum?’ with much enthusiasm, just pouted and you’d briefly been able to kiss it away. Then you’d sat her down for breakfast with her dad while you disappeared back to your bedroom to continue getting ready and the scowl returned. 

Eddie reaches for his coffee–also crammed with creamers and sugar–and just so happens to glance Penny’s way when he notices the death glare directed at him. He’s taken aback, leaning into his seat. 

  Neither of them say anything, just stare (in Penny’s case, glare) at each other. Eddie slowly reaches for his spoon, gathers the last bites of his cereal and is about to shovel it into his mouth just as you come out of your room, adjusting an earring and Penny grits out between her teeth. “Why. Did. You. Hurt. Mommy.”

  You frowned and so did Eddie, the both of you exchanging looks of confusion. “What are you talking about, Sweet Pea?” Eddie asks, popping the spoonful in his mouth. 

“I heard you hurting mommy in your room last night. She was crying and you told her she was a bad girl!” Eddie chokes, pounding on his chest with a closed fist as he attempts to dislodge the cereal he’d accidentally inhaled from his throat. You catch on pretty quickly to where this conversation is going so you start packing up your purse, lips pursed and just shy of a whistle to seem inconspicuous and not draw attention to yourself. Eddie coughes a couple more times, having finally swallowed his cereal and beat death. He was panting from the exertion and rush of it, eyes wide in horror, “WHAT?!” “Mommy is not a bad girl! Mommy is good! Mommy is a good mommy and you better stop being mean to her and hurting her or–or–or else!” The five year old packs a surprisingly large amount of malice in the threat, pointing her spoon at her dad menacingly. You barely manage to keep yourself from laughing, rolling your lips as you move around the table to kiss Penny and Wayne’s curly heads. 

“OKAY! Mama’s gotta go to work. I’ll see you two later, okay? I love you so much!” 

Eddie’s staring at you, mouth dropped open with a glint of amusement in his eyes. You’re not really gonna leave him with this conversation, right? Right? Baby? You lean over the table to press a kiss to his lips, it’s firm and briefly distracts Eddie until you pull just a little aways, red lips curling into a smirk as you whisper, “Have fun.”

Then you practically run out the door, leaving him flabbergasted, a little turned on, and at the mercy of a five year old who’d accidentally overheard the two of you going at it the previous night and was demanding an explanation. 

  See, this is why he didn’t regret giving it to you that hard. You were, indeed, a bad girl. And you’d be getting it later. “WELL–UH?” Penny snapped and Eddie closed his eyes, tilting his head up to the ceiling. 

“Okay, Sweet pea. I wasn’t hurting your mom,” If he was hurting you, it was a good hurt. You’d made that clear. “Uh, we just…we play pretend.”

Penny’s unamused stare and pout on her lips conveyed her disbelief in his explanation and he sighed, running his hands over his face as he prepared for the dreadful conversation.

“Alright, kid. When a daddy and mommy love each other, they like to wrestle.”

  “Like on TVs?” “Yeah. And because your dad is super cool and the best wrestler your mom has ever been with–I mean, gone up against, she tries to do that thing where she fakes being hurt so I let my guard down and she can tackle me, get the upper hand.” “Oh,” Is all Penny says, eyebrows unpinching as she purses her lips making them duck like. “Did she get you?”

Eddie raises an eyebrow, tip of his tongue swirling around his canine tooth, “Towards the end, yeah. She pinned me pretty good.” Yeah, you were so gonna get it. You'd be . . . brawling tonight and there was no way he'd be letting you up.

And…that’s where the comic ends for now.. I would love to continue to work on Sho’s backstory in comic form, but it will take time, so please be patient with me :) For now, please take the written version of Sho’s backstory! :)

Sho joined the marine when she was 16, her father was killed off in a pirate incident and she and her mother had to move to Water seven. She joined in order to get a stable job, and the marines are always opened for more people. She worked with lots of the older generation, like Drake and Smoker, and was also part of Drake’s subordinates, and they formed a good relationship. So when he left to be a pirate and didn’t tell anyone why, she was heartbroken. (but that’s later) 

She didn’t climb up the ranks quick, she was only a lieutenant commander when she left, she just did her job to support her mother And the comic, is abt four years prior to the series, a year after CP-9 went undercover. Sho hadn’t had the time to go back for any vacations for a few years bc of how busy the marines were, but well, you saw in the comic, she got a break. So after getting the break, she heads home, she barley makes it before Christmas and gets a bit lost since some buildings have reconstructed. She walks into Kaku, and he helps her lead the way after seeing the address, she gets home safe and has a nice holiday. She gets to meet Kaku again in her vacation since he’s around, and she properly introduces herself, sthes a marine, what she’s doing here..etc, and he does the same, they’re on friendly terms. So after that year, she gets vacations regularly again, and whenever she comes back, she comes visit Kaku as well, still maintaining a good relationship with Drake.

She doesnt really try, but she’s slowly climbing the ranks and becomes Drake’s direct helper of some sort Once in a fight, she got hit in the head and had a concussion, they had to shave half her head to treat her, when she woke, they told her to go home and take a month or so off bc of how bad her head was Thus, also gave her a lot more time to hang out with Kaku, they’ve known each other for about three or so years now and she always sends him some stuff too when she sends money back to her mom. They get to know each other better, and become good friends, it’s the last time they see each other in Water 7.

Jumping to the start of the series, Drake left the marines without any explanation and Sho was devastated, she couldn’t do anything, but her frustration leads her to just fight more, don’t feel, type of living style,she starts to not care much, and she’s become the lieutenant commander in a short period of time because of that. In this time, she got a mission to go solo to Enies Lobby to help out with the Devil Child situation, she obliges, but got lost in the middle of the Aqua Laguna and floated along side the sea train tracks. Oh yeah she lost her left arm and right leg when the sea train kinda ran over them

She was unconscious, until CP-9 came over, Kaku suggested that they take her as well, and she was treated and woke up in the same hospital with Lucci. She hangs out with them for a bit, and they leave separately before anything bad happens, but guess what? She got into another fucking storm and almost dies again. This time, a patrolling Marco spots her

He took her in a healed her, she woke up after a few days, and well, freaked the fuck out cause she’s on a pirate ship. She was ready to pull the Ace, but Marco came in and explained to her what happened, gave her the pep talk and now maybe pirates aren’t that much of a dick anymore. She thanks pops for letting her stay and get noticed that they are heading to marine ford, but as a marine herself, she couldn’t exactly betray the marines with this information, and tells Marco about her problems, thinking that he’ll kill her or toss her out, but he didn’t, and told her it wouldn’t make a difference even if she stays loyal to the marines. She’s confused, but stays, and grow aquatinted with Marco over the few weeks, and she’s grateful, since he basically saved her life. When the white beard pirates finally got to Seabody archipelago to coat the ships, Marco accompanies her to the nearest marine base without being spotted and leaves, Sho stares at the Phoenix rising before her eyes and a tear leaves her face. She’s extremely greatful for everything they’ve done for her, this bloody marine.

She goes in while limping, and the marines take her in, didn’t have time to fix her a new mechanical arm and leg, so just threw some old ones to her and forced it on her. Oh yeah did they hurt like a bitch After the marineford war, she slowly realized that the marines didn’t seem to welcome her anymore, since she lost both a leg and arm. People started to treat her differently, and she feels disrespected, so she leaves. She went back to her hometown after shaving her hair and changing,then heads home. Her mother understood her problems and understood why she had to leave, she left while giving almost all of her past earnings to her mother with only enough for herself and headed to sea. She knows what happened in marine ford, and decides to join the remains of the white beard crew, and thus, she’s still looking for them, Marco especially today.

Some bullet points 

Sho doesn’t wield a sword, she fences, and honestly, fencing swords don’t harm anyone, it can probably just give you a major sting of the holder used it right, but ofc, if you’r using it deadly, you can poke someone’s eyes out, but she normally just uses it for self defense 

Sho developed a crush on Marco with the time they’ve spent together

Sho after leaving the marines, slowly understood why (she thought) Drake left the marines and does not mind it anymore 

Sho still sends money once a few month to her mother 

Kaku has a small part of her vivirecard

She has her marine cap in her bag for convenient uses

She’s currently also looking for where Fire Fist Ace and Whitebeard is buried

Sho doesn’t want the marines to find her because her old friends who drink respect women juice acknowledges her powers and sometimes ask for her to go back

Oh and her birthday is May 21, she’s 28

CHpater 909 “Seppuku”

While the Reverie continues, in the new world, while the minks are talking, we know that Nekomamushi was once on Gold Roger’s ship.

While Nekomamushi is out, the minks are suppose to wait for him to come back with Marco (Don’t mind me bolding Marco’s name, he is just best birb)

Then we are shown a cave, and with the minks information, we are told that behind the cave, there lies a peacful village.

Marco tells Nekomamushi that Pops builted this place, and also the fact that pops was born in this place too.

We also gain the information that, there are a lot of poor country that couldn’t afford to be in the governments care. So They would instead, become lawless islands, for people to roam freely.

Pops went out the sea at a very young age, but he would still funnel money and resources to this village. Although he has no family or friends, this place was his homeland.

After the Summit War, the remains of the while beard pirates came back to the village, and thought about protecting the remainings of what pops protected. 

But TEACH invaded and fucked up everything cause thats the only thing he’s good at.

Both! I honestly can’t choose. Both are such different and awesome in their own ways.

Dogs are amazing and loyal. They’ll do anything they can for you. I’ve had a service dog, and I’ll have another one again, and there is no other animal I trust to do the job to care for me.

Cats are snarky and dorky. They act like they’re perfect but are obviously flawed. And, being a person that think’s their perfect but is also enormously flawed, well I guess I relate ;)
