👀 Looking forward to: Japan! We'll be back mid-June for 3 weeks even though we actually planned to go in 2027. It will be our third trip and finally I feel capable enough to speak a little more fluently. Tokyo feels like a part of my heart lives there now, so it fills me with joy to be back so soon. Also, I am excited for Fukuoka, where we will be for a week, exploring the south of Honshu. Can't wait for all the snacky snacks (there goes me, watching my eating habits...)⛩️ 🎏♨️

I gained quite a few over the last couple of weeks so I think it's time for a proper "Hi" and a little "who is she anyway?" next to a "so very happy you are here, you lovelies 🥹💕"

So hi. Welcome to the slowburn headquarters where I self indulge in the fantasies I see nowhere so I write them myself. First it was multichapter slowburns (also some with OCs in them 😱) then I felt comfortable enough to also take a leap and create more smut and dark smut. But you will always find both here: fluff, smut, dark settings, cheesy romance... it's all about balance 🙂‍↕️

🚫 tropes and tags that give me the ick: infidelity, too heavy ddlg, stupid female reader, misogyny poorly hidden behind "masculine" tropes, pregnancy tropes (😬 sorry not sorry, I don't get the romance behind it), enemies to lovers that fuck in chapter 3 (this needs build up!), instant love

🎭 most fun to write: tension and banter, love it when you can feel the chemistry through the lines and want to scream "KISS NOW" at them.

😩 always struggling to write: smut 🙈 just because I want to get it just right, not cringe but not too shallow either.

🏆 fic i'm most proud of: Take a Sip 🥹 just finished it and I love everything about it, the tension, the tropes, the storyline. It was a blast to write. Finishing it just this week leaves an empty spot (that needs replacement faaaast)

☕ writing fuel: Royal Milk Tea or a simple Earl Grey with oatmilk

🌙 typical writing time: I am a night owl 🦉 but when inspiration hits daytime is not a dealbreaker.

📂 number of wips i'm pretending are under control: four or five...ish 😬? Got so many ideas and not enough time :D

🔎 most ridiculous thing i've researched for a fic: for an upcoming assassin fic how far sniper rifles work 🙈 for "Not so tough now, Darlin'" self defense tactics, time travel paradox for a fic I never finished (cowboy Joel finds his way in the now time in deepest winter, reader has to take care of him... like the idea still, but the spark is missing...)

🫠 character type i fall for every time: hard/witty exterior and soft core, sunshine and grumpy without one of them being naive or stupid

On another - personal - matter.

I was at Pride today in Berlin. As always it is a place of love, comfort, equality and positivity. It is a protest but it is also dance and expression of what a world could look like if we accepted others as what they are: fellow humans with hopes and dreams.

In the evening one pathetic person steared a car into a crowd of people. Only because they feel threatened in a system that mostly holds them in a position of privilege.

That makes me sad and angry. But it should never lead to us backing down or stop fighting for those who need protection.

So know that this blog will always be a place of safety and allyship.

Okay, I wanted to send you a decent response because I just keep leaving emojis after reading your lovely fic daydreams! I really like that our heroine expressed her opinions wholeheartedly before allowing Harry to be so dominating. It's a lovely balance! I don't know if it's true, but I heard that the submissive is actually the one in control, which is such a beautiful contrast to explore, especially in a professional environment. Hawt. It's too bad. I basically work for myself lol

Uh that is such an interesting question and yes, you are totally correct. In a healthy and functioning sub/Dom relationship it is totally the sub that sets the boundaries and dos and donts in the dynamic of the experience.

So technically speaking Harry and Emily should have a talk outside of their intimate encounters and discuss what their hard (and soft) "no"s are and most definitely if a dynamic like that continues you always work out a safeword for the sub to stop a situation.

Generally speaking: a Dom never - and I mean NEVER - talks a sub into anything. That is a very red flag in such a delicate dynamic that demands a lot of trust and vulnerability. A sub should always feel in control except they choose not to be. That is the actual beauty of it, i think. Having someone with whome you feel totally save to let go and let them be in charge because you know you can always leave that setup if you dont feel like it.

That is also why aftercare is such an important topic... but I am getting lost here :D

okay so- i LOVEEEE this. i am genuinely obsessed lmao. one of the best joel fics ive read. i would love to see some sweetness from father joel, maybe they could sneak away for a weekend? he actually gets to know her? maybe questions on leaving the church for her so they don’t have to be a secret and hide any longer? and have her ride him, maybe she takes control for a little bit? see how long he can let himself allow that.

i love this story and i love the way you write. it’s incredible.
