Is it sometimes difficult to talk about Poppy in TWT since the movie is an allegory of racism? I know a lot of people didn’t like her mindset in that movie.

Honestly no! The writing and character development for Poppy was not only great but also important pointing out the "I dont see color" mindset isnt helpful when dealing with racism!

And its extra great that it was the explicitly black coded royal funk family who told her this. She finally started to listen and it helps because Quincy and Essence are elder royalty so it makes sense Poppy would look up to them for guidance.
