Queen characters for my OC Universe! More info below.
This OC universe is completely disconnected from the canon wof. None of these characters are related to or have ever met any canon characters.
Firestorm is a tough, ruthless queen that is known for pushing soldiers to their limits. She is currently in a spat with Maelstrom over who-knows-what. Kind of a “you did this!” “Well, only because you did this first!” “Well I did that because --” on and on.
Whiptail and her wife, Mirage, are in a current conflict of whether to ally with Maelstrom, Firestorm, or neither. The queens are fighting over sandwing territory, but haven’t caused any damage or death. Her subjects are currently starting to wonder if they have a strong queen since she’s not defending their territory. She can be a little indecisive sometimes but has been regarded as a fair and quiet queen.
Maelstrom is also extremely ruthless, and has a mentality of “If you want something done, do it yourself” so she often fights in her own wars. She is best known for having cruel and unusual punishments - she is the one that removed Oarfish’s horns and then exiled her after Oarfish failed to defend her properly.
Justice is very uptight and the oldest queen. The nightwings are “far too above these petty fights” and are staying out of it completely. She is very objective and thinks anyone who lets their emotions decide their actions are irresponsible and silly.
Radiance has swapped between Maelstrom and Firestorm so many times, she’s starting to frustrate them. She just likes to be on the winning side. She also has tried multiple times to ally with Whiptail so she can get some of the sandwing wealth, but Whiptail wants nothing to do with her.
Flora and Fauna are twin sisters who decided to challenge and take down their mother together. They think so alike that they rule together, and the rainwings often can’t tell them apart, so they don’t try. As far as anyone is concerned, they are one ruling pair. Currently, the rainwings are not part of the war, but Malestrom is starting to conspire with them in exchange for territory.
and poor Damselfly. Her mother was assassinated, but they haven’t been able to find out who. At the age of 5, she was the only one able-bodied enough to be queen. Now Maelstrom and Firestorm are breathing down her neck, trying to get her on their side, with the threat of attack if she doesn’t.
