In book 4 Starflight recalls reading scrolls with theories on how the dod would stop the war, and i figured itd be fun to theirize what would happen if they were right

As it turns out the only one that really gets mentioned (unless i missed one) is what if the dod were all queens, and end the war via diplomacy. This is also assuming the prophecy still happens
Theres 2 ways this can start- the dod never get taken to the caves, are raised i their tribes (but dislike the war) and end the war when they come to power, 20 years after the war began,
Or, the dragonets are taken to the caves, and then return to their tribes and take power, then end the war once theyre in charge. Ill be focusing on the second one here.

In order for this to work, all the queens need to be relevant to the war. This means that sunny, who is a sandwing, wouldnt work. Same with glory, whos tribe isnt involved in the war. Instead, sunny will be replaced by an icewing (to cover all the tribes involved in the war) and glory will chill in the rainforest while the og skywing takes her place in the prophecy.
With the tribes changed, we need to change the prophecy. The sandwing verse will be replaced with an icewing verse.
The prophecy now reads like this:
When the war has lasted twenty years ...
the dragonets will come.
When the land is soaked in blood and tears ...
the dragonets will come.
Find the SeaWing egg of deepest blue,
Wings of night shall come to you.
The largest egg in mountain high,
will give to you the wings of sky.
For wings of earth, search through the mud
for an egg the color of dragon blood.
And glistening in the bitter cold
Find Wings of Ice in a nest lined with gold.
Of three queens who blister and blaze and burn,
two shall die and one shall learn
if she bows to a fate that is stronger and higher,
she'll have the power of wings of fire.
Five eggs to hatch on brightest night,
five dragons born to end the fight.
Darkness will rise to bring the light.
The dragonets are coming ...
Next order of business, who are the dod, since the og dod arent all royal
Sea- Tsunami
Sky- Chasm
Mud- Heron
Ice- Snowfall
Night- Savior
I think most of the characters would have similar personalities to their cannan vounterparts, as their dynamic is good (snowfall will have glorys and chasm can have sunnys)
How did they all get here,
Tsunami's story can remain the same, as shes already queen eligable
Chasm is a new character. She is an agg that Tourmaline had before she was turned into Ruby. Tourmaline hid Chasm's egg, so it was not in the hatchery and therefor not burned with the other skywng eggs due to hatch on the brighest night. Ruby remembered the egg after being turned, but when she coutned the eggs she sae Tourmalines wasnt there, a small releif in face of the horror. Because the egg wasnt in the hatcery being guarded, the Talons were able to retrieve it.
Heron is another new character. Moorhen only joined the war to avoid retribution from the sandwing sisters by avoiding it. When she heard of the prophecy, and was one of the only dragons with a blood red egg due to hatch on brighest night, she gave the egg to the talons of peace in hopes of ending the war.
Snowfall is only a little younger than the dod, so well just have her be born a little earlier. Her egg would have need to be taken by Hvitur or Cirrus, the only known icewing talons of peace. If Webs managed to steal from a royal hatchery than im sure one of these two can.
Savior- A daughter of Greatess or one of her siblings. Given to the talons of peace like in the orignal story.

Theres some other major story beats that change,,
as all the dod will be meeting different familes (except tsunami),
and this story would require them all to challenge for the throne.
They would also not have any reason to go to the rainforest, which would make it harder to meet the nightwings.
Also, because there is no Glory, they may not have as pressing of a need to escape, so may bot leave until they were meant to
And of course, the 'negotiations' that ended the war would look different
Plus probably some other things im not remembering rn.
I may write some of these scenes at some point, but i dojt often write about cannon characters so probably not
