it’s drizzling, the sky grey and depressing as you and your girlfriend make your way outside.
she has you tucked into her side to shield you from the rain, her cheeks flushed red. you think she’s adorable, your shy girlfriend taking care of you.
she talks about her classes, playing with your fingers as she animatedly rambles.
you’re staring up at her, head slightly tilted as you smirk. she’s oblivious to your obvious admiration, looking down at your intertwined hands.
“ellie,” you interrupt, immediately shutting her up as she snaps her gaze up to meet yours.
it’s quiet for a moment, ellie’s eyes darting over your face, her lips slightly parted.
“you look like you want to kiss me.” she mumbles, shying away a little. the comment makes you smile, cupping her chin to make her return her attention to you.
“that’s what i always look like then.” you say smoothly, brushing your nails over her cheek.
you watch her shiver and turn beet red. she opens and closes her mouth multiple times before giving up, slipping her arms around your waist and hiding her face in the crook of your neck.
you hear wolf whistles from the rugby field, making ellie groan and you grin in delight.
