I started following you because of jonsa a long time ago. I threw on The Great this week on a WHIM and it absolutely wrecks me and lo and behold I find you in the tags when I go searching for content because I'm absolutely feral over Catherine and Peter 🥲 you have impeccable taste, that is all

Hi!! Just popping in to talk about the Witcher, which I watched with high hopes because I loved the game (W3) although I remember relatively nothing of the plot. I didn’t know Yennefer’s actress was 21 and that’s a helluva gap. I think it’s a good breakthrough role for her because her acting is solid but yeah, the chem with Geralt is merely “two hot people in proximity.” But I was super happy with the way the season wrapped and it wasn’t fully dedicated to the Yennefer/Geralt whirlwind.

i really need to start watching this show so i can properly discuss it with people. i’ll start watching tomorrow (this post is queued so my tomorrow is the 6th) and liveblog everything.

the age gap is not good but typical for hollywood. i honestly doubt i’ll enjoy geralt/yennefer so i’m glad it’s not overwhelming.

What's your Inuyasha playlist like?

I apologize for the forthcoming nerdiness.

I’ve got all of the opening themes and ending themes, naturally.  Other songs that are on there:

"Let Me Go" by Avril Lavigne feat. Chad Kroeger.  This song perfectly describes Inuyasha’s inability to let go of Kikyo and how he grows from that.

"Human" by Christina Perri, which makes me think of Kagome and all the pain and heartbreak she suffers throughout the course of the series.

"A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri—fairly obvious, song that examines the gap between Kagome and Inuyasha.

"Accidentally in Love" by Counting Crows, a bouncy upbeat song that is a good describer of both InuKag and MirSan.  

"Never Let Me Go" by Florence + the Machine, a perfect InuKag song.  Also reminds me of Miroku and Sango, particularly in the final battle with Naraku.

"Cosmic Love" by Florence + the Machine, another great InuKag song, especially when you think about the three year interim period where they were separated.

"In Her Eyes" by Josh Groban—this is a really good Inuyasha song.  Very reflective.

"Dark Paradise" by Lana del Rey—another three year interim song.  I should make a separate playlist of songs that make me think of that separation.

"King" by Lauren Aquilina.  If you think about Inuyasha’s exponential growth from the first season to the final act, this is a great song that emphasizes that.

"Shut Up and Kiss Me" by Orianthi.  Speaks for itself, but it’s a great song for InuKag and MirSan.

"Don’t Deserve You" by Plumb, which makes me think of Inuyasha, reflecting on Kagome.  

"Hands of Time" by Rachel Diggs—songs that have really good introspection on the passage of time, on troubled pasts fit really well into Inuyasha.  This song plays into that.

"A Drop in the Ocean" by Ron Pope—that final line of the bride, "Heaven doesn’t seem far away anymore, heaven doesn’t seem far away…" always makes me think of Inuyasha reaching his hand into the well one final time and pulling Kagome up.  Someday with God as my witness, I will AMV that song.  

"Walk Away" by The Script, a perfect InuKag song, good song that plays into Inuyasha’s self-loathing.

"The Way I Loved You" by Taylor Swift—another three year interim song.  If Kagome dated at all, this song is probably how she’d feel.

"And We Run" by Within Temptation—this song could describe the entire series.  "And love…is a word you never heard…"  Now that lyric is totally Inuyasha.

"Starlight" by The Wailin’ Jennys.  This song makes me think of Sango, hardcore.
