Bail bonds is in our Constitution. We are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. When some politician tells you that Bail Bonds is going to be taken away as you now know it, please do not be so naïve as to think that everybody’s just going to walk out of jail for free. Bail as we now know it has something called released on your “own recognizance”. Bail Bonds was not designed for your release. Bail Bonds was designed to ensure your appearance in court. Victims will never be able to seek justice. Your freedom will be determined by one man. Personally, I don’t like those odds. I would like to be released from jail without any judge ever having to look me up & down, read my profile & then decide. It is not and should not be up to one judge to determine whether I am released or not, it should be up to me! MY LIFE!!! let’s reform the Bail schedule!
