I also hope it was a conscious decision of symbolism by the writers to have Emily’s nails be long + painted to demonstrate that she’s relaxed & comfortable in contrast to when she had so much constant anxiety she was chewing the shit out of them. Things that, if they happen in tonight’s episode, will Not Be Okay:

Emily is having nightmares & she dreams of herself getting killed. I already saw her die once I DON’T NEED TO SEE IT AGAIN, FAKE OR NOT.

Her boyfriend dies. Like idc if you like him or not, she deserves happiness and her loved ones being the fuck alive.

SHE GETS INJURED (AGAIN) @ VIRGIL WILLIAMS I’M ONTO YOU.

She leaves sad. That can’t happen a 3rd motherfucking time. Just let her be HAPPY!! AAAAAHHH!!!!!

If they fuck up her entire 10 years of characterization in 43 minutes I know it’s a stretch & Paget wouldn't let that happen but WHAT IF–
