Congratulations, Arya Stark. Welcome to Queen’s Crossing.
You will be roomed with Adelyn Belrose.
Character’s name: Arya Stark Character’s age: 16 Position: Student Faceclaim: Bex Taylor-Klaus Character history: Born in Scotland to Eddard Stark and Catelyn Tully, Arya is the third-youngest of six children (five full siblings and one half-brother); the daughter of a well-known politician and his wife, she originates from an undeniably wealthy background, but has been known to have little regard for associated economic and class boundaries, affiliating herself with whomsoever she pleases. This tendency has caused varying degrees of discomfort within her family, however, as well as her lack of regard for codified gender expectations – while some among her family consider these traits something that she will outgrow, others have taken a more hostile or judgmental stance, and either way she is expected to follow in her elder sister’s footsteps, marrying well and bearing the children of a wealthy, influential man. Needless to say, this lifestyle does not interest Arya in the slightest, and she has taken the opportunity to apply to and attend the school as a means to educate herself on her own terms and find ways to stand on her own two feet, taking control over her own life – she loves her family deeply, with all the ferocity of a wolf toward its pack, but yearns for freedom and agency and the ability to make her own choices, as well as possessing a deep hunger for knowledge. Extroverted, bold, forthright, fiercely empathetic, and friendly, Arya bonds quickly and easily with others – however, she has very little tolerance for spite, cruelty, and malicious lying, and has been known to meet circumstances she perceives as unjust with a mix of stubbornness and borderline feral anger. Messy hair, bruised knuckles, chewed lips, leather jackets, piercings, and tattoos, she seldom matches the polished air of many of the other students attending the school – but she is a quick and determined learner and has shown clear aptitude in history, mathematics, and languages, as well as being skilled in fencing and horseriding, and thus several staff members have decided to overlook her … eccentricities, so long as she doesn’t draw too much trouble or get into fights on campus. (No small ask.) She also has an intense interest in human rights, women’s rights, issues surrounding sexuality and gender, politics, and international relations. Activities they take part in: fencing, equestrian, Model United Nations.
