My heart breaks when I watch this scene
Either is fine? I was scrolling through your Shakespeare tag and I have to ask– your opinion on baz luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet?
i hated it! but to be fair: a) i hate most stagings of romeo & juliet so baz was working at a deficit, b) i struggle with claire danes as an actress, i just don’t think she’s very good, i’m sorry, i’m sure she’s a lovely person, and c) i’m actually not much of a baz luhrmann fan. he’s very hit or miss for me -- what i love i LOVE but otherwise he just kind of falls flat. i know i’m in the minority on this and that’s okay, but i thought his R&J was just ... overdone and lowkey kind of boring.
but again: i always kind of think staged verisons of R&J are kind of boring unless they’re the ballet, so i’m very very picky and shouldn’t be listened to in the first place.
Do you ever think about how Darcy doesn’t get the character POV we do so to him this girl he’s in love with who told him to fuck off just. SHOWED UP. AT HIS HOUSE. Because I think about that a lot.
not only that, but she showed up with her aunt and uncle, she actively admired his home, and she checked the fuck out of his paintings.
dude probably had the worst case of anxiety ever, and yet he ended up working it to his advantage. DARCY IS A HERO FOR ALL OF US W/ ANXIETY.
Can I get ☾ for @brekkkerkaz?
sure thing!
compliment: love the theme and colors, it looks very clean and minimalistic. also that url? A+advice: i’d make the post size a tad smaller so it doesn’t swallow up your theme space quite as much and maybe but a small quote or something on your about page :)

If you want romance and don't mind read subtitles, Love by Square Foot is a super cute romcom!
I’m sorry, idk when you sent this but I just saw it so I hope I’m not replying too late.. but where can I find it? Is it on Netflix? Thank you for the rec!!
My OCs are from the future, and my mc is a bisexual vietnamese girl who's part of a street gang, loves her brother and sells illegal identification chips. I've been trying to make it really obvious that she has a pretty thick viet accent because asian accents always seem to be considered strange or undesirable and that's bullshit
i love and support this character, and hell yes break that awful assumption (stereotype? it’s late idk how to word rn)
caym runs a large part of the criminal underworld, so he’s in charge of ordering around several street gangs even if he’s not technically their leader.
