Deep Pain

A serious sin had been committed in the past: fratricide -- a crime that had radically changed the life in the Pride Lands for long years, causing much suffer and starve for many.  Scar had grown into an evil king and due to his decisions all the herds were gone from the kingdom, all lives were taken, except for hope and faith that still stayed there in Sarabi’s heart despite the fact she had lost his husband and son at the same time. In the deepest sorrow that the queen was given came Aslan for a visit to take the burden off her shoulders. “If you are looking for the zebras, you won’t find them here. They went to the North.” Came his firm, yet soft voice.

The Queen, regal as ever in the face of any sort of danger posed to her family or herself, relaxed her maw from the growl it had formed mere moments ago.

Her ears remained flattened. One ear flicked and she readjusted her footing as to not appear so threatening- though she would not hesitate should he attempt to slight her.

" How do I know that to be true?" she inquired.

One dark brow raised faintly, her tufted tail tip twitching once.

James set down his gun, his sword and his powder. Taking a step back. Down to his knees, to bow gracefully in her presence.  

 “ I believe if you would ask your son, you will find that I am his guest.  Consider me the ambassador for my own kingdom, far beyond where land touches massive oceans of water.  “ He spoke much like Zazu, just as respectful, though clearly not a bird he did have ruffles and feathers.

With his feathery hat, and white powdered wig , Simba had told him that once.  

“ I merely wished to pay my respects and compliment you on the fine job you’re doing, raising the young prince.”

Hatari stretched a moment as he rested on his small rock ledge a little ways away, yawning a bit. He might have been mildly put off otherwise by not being included in the hunting party this time around, but this time was different. And he couldn’t help a small smirk as he watched the lioness and her son, not to mention the Majordomo and his reaction to the cub’s statement.

“This should be fun.” He chuckled, more to himself than to any of the rest of them, but it was an audible statement all the same. Not that the three-legged hyena was really known for keeping his opinions to himself, of course. His thoughts were as plain as the stripes on his back, and he liked it that way. Made sure no one misunderstood his intentions, and.. ultimately, it actually made him more trustworthy than say.. perhaps his spotted cousins.

Virgo, capricorn, and pisces?

virgo: are you very critical of your own writing? how much do you find yourself editing (either during the writing or after the fact)?

On here not so much, I find that I am not quite as Hypercritical about my work as I had suspected I would be, with my Fanfictions I was and most likely will be fairly similar I am perfectly content to allow a mistake or two so long as the reader (whether that be an Rp partner or a reader of my Fanfiction) can still be able to get the idea of what it was I was trying for.

That being said I do still comb through my work, whether that be a reply to a thread or my story, and try my best to edit out mistakes if I notice them, preferably before I post but I'm not opposed to, if I can see them afterwards, editing them out if my partner hasn't already gotten their own reply out already. However with my stories that's a little more slowed down since not being rp replies I don't have a partner speed dialing out replies to threads with them but I will still try and get corrections on it done in case anyone did still want to reblog and share them.

capricorn: what does your writing schedule look like? how often does it take you to write a chapter?

My writing (and drawing) schedule is... I'd say pretty nonexistent I try and work on replies to threads, my stories and art pretty much whenever I can get a good enough lull in my work week schedule but seeing as I'm a night owl and a day sleeper that doesn't make for a whole lot of time, except on Mondays or Tuesdays when I get more free time to myself.

pisces: how do you visualize scenes? do you see it like a movie in your head, or do the words just flow?

It depends on how much inspiration for the piece I have, if I'm feeling inspired for the reply or the story than chances are it's going to be fairly easy enough for me to "movie Screen" what I want to happen and then the words flow through my mind and onto the digital page

“I am Sarabi, Queen of the Pridelands. What brings you here?”

Tarzan had wanted to be brave and stand up to the lioness the way Kerchak would have, he didn’t want her to see him as weak like a prey item, but something about her warm smile and comforting tone made him think of his mother, and before he knew it Tarzan was opening his heart to her.

 “I...We...we were crossing the log bridge, and it was raining and slippery and and...I couldn’t climb onto it, and I couldn’t hold on the way the others could. I was w-walking at the back and t-then the bridge started to break and and I couldn’t run as fast as the others could and I couldn’t reach my m...She tried to pull me up but I couldn’t...Then the fell down into the water and I-I-”

 He wiped away the rapidly forming tears in with the back of his arm, then without thinking about it, grabbed hold of Sarabi’s leg and buried his face in her warm fur. She might eat him for crying on her, he thought, but the family was better off without him anyway.
