i am fucking sick of people telling me that i should shut up about being queer sometimes. No, i will not.

I have a fucking right to take something that people use against me over and over again and shove it in their faces with as much pride as i have. for every straight girl who has said ‘that’s fine as long as you don’t fancy me’. for every time ive rejected a guy for them to ask me ‘oh are you a lesbian then?’. for every person that hasn’t believed me because ive fancied a guy once. for every time my parents had me take down the pride flag on my wall when we had guests. for every time ive been made to feel gross and predatory for fancying a girl, or like im betraying my gals for fancying a guy. for every time i haven’t told someone because im worried they wont want to be friends with me if they find out the truth.

i fancy girls. i fancy guys. and i have a right to use that as my identity because it took so long for me to love myself, after so many nights sobbing into a pillow, hoping to god i wasn’t as disgusting as i thought. after so many years of internalised homophobia, i love myself.

and all you bitches are gonna know it.
