I've been watching "queer eye- we're in Japan!" And it's so good. The fab 5 are just so nice, I love seeing them change people's lives. Last week I got back from Japan - visiting my obaachan (grandma). It made me think, and I realized I didn't really know much about the queer community in Japan, and I don't really know any Japanese LGBTQ celebrities, except "Matsuko deluxe". When I was there I saw a few gay couples holding hands & some political posters supporting the lgbtq community. After looking into it, it seems like the majority of people in Japan are supportive of the queer community , or don't really care. Gay marriage is not recognized by the government & gay couples are legally not allowed to adopt kids. But then I look at the US who has its own set of problems for the LGBTQ community. In one of the episodes, they mentioned that Japan has a big thing with conformity , and that is so true. Sometimes I think how different my life would be if I had grown up in Japan.

My first attempt at making omurice... without rice of course, just 45g of quinoa. When watching @queereye in Japan, I promised my wife I'd try to make a modified version that's low carb. YAAAAASSSS !!! Of course I didn’t miss an opportunity like this! They went to Japan and I’d to turn them into a squad worthy of Japanese lands! It's already public how much my wife (@athenicorn ) and I are avowed fans of this series and how much we like these 5 and even more obvious our connection to Japan! I couldn't miss this chance! They arrived at the home of Tokusatsu, the colorful squads,land of giant robots and Kaijus! <3 I needed to turn them into a team of colorful rangers! Was necessary!
