what do you think about the gabriel reveal in bad sisters? i immediately had to think of your hashtag 'why isn't he in the present timeline' and this feels kinda underwhelming, unnecessary idk? he HAD to realize what he was conveying at some point.

still love him though! maybe you could gif some moments on the boat? <3

omg thank you for sending this! also i've got one gifset of a boat scene moment queued up right now :) i hope to do at least another one over the next few days but if you'd like a specific moment feel free to let me know which one!!

anyway to be honest i was shocked when it was revealed! i guess in fairness a lot of the flirting was from eva's side but imo the writing/direction was sooo deliberate about the attraction/good vibes between them lol (teasing jokes, gabriel complimenting her laugh, them going to the art museum together... him holding her hand & comforting her after running into her ex!). idk maybe it was just my own heart eyes for sharon horgan that clouded my reading of those moments 😅

based on not seeing him in the present timeline, i kind of prepared myself for something to not make eva x gabriel happen, but i didn't expect the reason to be because he's gay! at least he's not physically hurt/injured like i originally thought was going to happen (i really hope i'm not speaking too soon since there are 5 episodes left 😬).

it did kind of feel underwhelming since we've been following eva's ~flirting~ for a bit and the audience is rooting for her to be happy, especially given the details of her backstory, but i guess the aftermath of her finding out he's gay just shows what kind of person eva is, like her going back into the boat to talk to him about him not being out at work, forbidden love, and how his relationship is like with his family...

and i Know a person's coming out shouldn't be about a straight person's reaction to it, but given the situation, eva choosing to go back to the boat and being supportive of and listening to gabriel during a vulnerable time for him— even though she felt stupid and felt like she was strung along— idk, i feel like it shows who she is as a person— and as the eldest garvey sister who raised her sisters when they were all pretty young. but anyway i do agree that gabriel had to have realized what he was conveying to eva, like i'm saying those were major heart eyes at the pub!!! 😂😭

i still love gabriel too! i'm curious as to why he wasn't at the funeral (or was he? i don't remember lol) and i'm hoping we'll see him somewhere in the present timeline and see how he and eva are doing as friends at the office <3

4. What do you wear when you have to dress nicely?

I love a tailored suit! Combined with an equally tailored shirt, waistcoat, and a tie on occasion. If a suit won’t work, my other favourite is a teal coloured, knee length DKNY dress. Get a bat that can do both. 😉

14. What are some places where you feel most at home?

London and the Plymouth house. I really feel most complete there. I’d move immediately, if I could. [Insert Brexit rant.]

18. What’s one historical event that you would have liked to have witnessed?

Arghhh… ummmm… huh! So many!? To choose something in my lifetime: I’d have loved to be in Berlin on 10th November 1989. I was glued to the tv, but to be there in person?
