They’re doing it again, I just saw a call out post for Dan talking about how he’s racist and fatphobic and the proof was a video from like 10 years ago

I’m not familiar with the context of any of this stuff and I can’t speak to either of those issues specifically, but when someone is being called out for issues that affect me, I don’t give credence to anything that happened 5+ years ago unless it’s either accompanied by more recent evidence or it was really bad.

I definitely agree w/ you that as a cis person, I shouldn’t write about trans experiences. I do have a story idea I’ve been working on and I want the mc to be trans but I don’t want to impose on any issues I should be speaking on, do you have any references or pointers on how I can make it clear to the audience that the character is trans w/o overstepping my boundaries and speaking over trans people about their experiences?

i recommend looking at resources like weneeddiversebooks as a good starting place, and in general reading stories written by trans authors is a Must. there are plenty of nonfiction personal essays online
